:patrice: Ehhhh I don't know about any of this. Now I agree that oftentimes our ppl are quick to feel the white mans ice cubes are colder but......in this case Fisher was really just a shytty piss poor coach. He wasn't ready. Plain and simple. Yeah he was a puppet. Yeah Jackson forced the triangle on him. But the in game decisions (or lack thereof) was all Fisher. Why would PJax insist Vujacic get minutes every game? And start to begin the season? Why would PJax sign Rolo to big money and tell Fisher to bench him in 4th quarters? Why would he tell him to stay with lineups for too long that are getting cooked defensively?
Every time the camera used to cut to Fish during play action his expression was always :birdman:
Dog...you don't have any instructions?? For anybody? You aint even got shyt to say to the refs?? How bout assistants? The bench? Nothing? just straight up :birdman: every time huh?

:camby:He did not know what he was doing and he has more than enough quotables to prove it.

If Phil has to fire people to get them to do what he wants, then he's more trash as an exec than the obvious. He's a former coach with 11 rings. Why couldn't he step in? Funny thing is, "rotations" wasn't causing 'Melo, KP, Jose, Arron, Gallo, and D-Will to shoot like trash. Early on, they struggled to score. "Rotations" didn't cause all but 4 players to be trash on defense. Doesn't matter who you "rotate" or "bench", "holler at", and "counsel", (whether it be refs, assistants, or the bench) nearly all of them consistently played like trash on one or both ends. Lol at the notion that the refs will listen to Fish.

Sasha started because Arron was injured.

Fish never mean-mugged. His expression was always blank. You couldn't tell what he was thinking.

Fish did know what he was doing. He knew how to run the offense (all season long) and get them to play defense (for all but 1 month of the season).

You know who doesn't know what he's doing? The guy getting all the passes. Y'all "Zen Master". Phil built a roster to play a system they don't fit. He should be held accountable.

In all honesty Phil shouldn't have hired fisher in the first place :yeshrug:

He's done a really shyt job so far and keeps trying to buy time with his zen shyt

If you're saying Phil has done a bad job, I commend you for having the courage to criticize him. Very few do. Same goes for Popovich, even though his roster fitting the system he copied from Phil (on some if you can't beat them, join them) is the main reason they win so much.

Scott Brooks was given several years with the Thunder/Sonics before he was fired. He only won somewhere around 15-30 games in his 1st season. McHale had several seasons with the Rockets to make something happen. There's such a short leash on Afrikan coaches in the racist NBA. Our coaches either get rosters that don't fit the system, or they get trash rosters altogether, or fired rather quickly, and multiple times. You don't see many Docs in the racist (not to be confused with prejudiced) NBA.

Here's a guy I'd be intrigued by moreso than Shaw. He did a hell of a job with the Suns in spite of them making a bunch of awful decisions with that roster under him and then he lost their two best players and got fired over it. I have no clue how he won 48 games with the roster in Phoenix a couple years back. Want to see a premature unfair firing...Jeff Hornacek and David Blatt both have a case (though I don't think Blatt ever fit NBA culture).

Yeah, this is the new normal for all coaches. Tom Thibodeau got canned and never won less than 45 games. And that ish isn't even new, Larry Brown straight up jacked Rick Carlisle for a ring in Detroit...and he was the coach of the year.

It could happen. Phil is a quick learner and a rookie coach isn't always the smart move.

So what? What manager sets the bar low? You're ranking his performance based on hype to generate interest in the team or on the actual moves he made? Stop being shallow.

When I look at what our roster, cap space and assets looked like the day he signed up...and I look at where our roster, cap space and assets are now...I'd give Phil a solid B grade.
