Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Um ... Maybe we would wanna go with Melo at power forward since he's getting a little slower. Move Porzingawd to center once he gets more experience and more weight/muscle.

What makes Porzingis special is that he's 7'3" and agile enough to play PF, starting him at center wont be possible for a couple of years and you also signed a gang of centers to just be back ups?

Well till he could develop into a center we'd have to keep a few centers on deck. Don't know when batum would be available but when he is we can use him at either the 2 or 3.

I think long term keeping Porzingis at PF is the way to go, when he gets stronger he'll be able to post up guys that are like half a foot shorter than him. Staying big with him at the 4 long term is a matchup nightmare.

As for Batum, I just don't see him leaving the Hornets as their main option to take on a role as a 3rd option, they'll have the caproom to make him a big offer. Teams generally don't trade for dudes they have a chance of losing the next year.

We only have two C's locked up beyond this season. Lopez and KOQ, both or on movable contracts and could get some value (KOQ's bargain price is too good to be worth moving imo). So your idea holds a lot of weight for damn sure fam.

Bro you're like this about the jets too. We're starting this team from scratch. Only 3-4 players remain from last year. It's gonna take a bit to make this team right. Lopez is playing shytty and I admit I thought he'd be better but would you have givin Monroe a max? Afflalo is not bad at all don't know what you're talking about... Don't know if we can lure batum here soon. Williams has been up and down... I think if fisher gives him consistent minutes he would thrive.

Starting the team from scratch shouldn't have included giving Lopez that contract. It's hard to rebuild in the NBA when you have money tied into bad.

Williams and Affalo with they way they're playing are basically locks to opt in next year and be on the books as well.

The young assests we currently have are KP(stud, good) and Oquinn and Galloway. It's just not enough especially without a pick next year. Grant and Galloway can't get off the bench.

Doesn't cap go up next year? And how long is this Lopez contract for?

I still think this team can do some good. Problem is our coaching had been bad.

Can someone explain this PER thing to me?:dwillhuh: Why is it so important?

Stat that measures player efficiency while they're on the floor per minute basis. The league average is 15.00. It's primarily focused on offense and doesn't really take defense in consideration.

That's really my understanding of what the PER is.

The cap is going up, but it's going up for everyone so it's going to be a really competitive summer for free agents, to the point the Warriors will have the room to make a run at Durant and the Lakers could have like $50+ million in space.

PER isn't that important but good players typically have a higher PER, it's just a way of telling you how efficient someone is with their minutes.

I think yall wasted a lot of pages on the 'trade Melo' debate. The facts are the Knicks organization and Melo are married to each other. And Melo has an iron clad pre-nup in the form of a NTC. Where does this championship or bust mentality come from? The reality is we don't become contenders any quicker by trading him now for young unproven assets than we do if he plays out his contract here. That's a huge gamble. And at the end of the day the owner of the team we root for is in the business of making money. He's not trading a draw like Melo to build a young team that could challenge for the playoffs. In a couple years. Maybe. :childplease:
But if you tweak and build around the young potential franchise player you just drafted along with your all star draw that's in his prime, you may have something on your hands. You'd still have to tinker with the lineup with the scraps you get for Melo, so why not keep him and address the PG position? Or find a playmaker to use in the triangle?
Address the coaching situation. This is the 1st time in NY or in the NBA I've heard of the GM or team president having so much influence on what the coach runs on offense. RC Buford aint telling Popovich what he gotta run. Dave Checketts wasn't telling JVG what to run. This puppet show ain't working right. Does Fisher love the triangle? Was he even efficient enough as a player to be able to COACH it in the NBA right away? Phil needs to either let this man grow as a coach and back off or get a special coaching chair, scooter or whatever the fukk he needs to get on the sidelines and do it himself. As it is, Fisher is an idiot. I'm sure it's compounded by the constant presence of Phils puppet strings.

Oh yeah earlier I said Melo's in his prime. I'm sure that needs to be addressed. Several have stopped reading already. But yeah. He is indeed coming of knee surgery. But he's only 31 coming off surgery for a wear and tear procedure, not a career threatening injury. He never has or will play above the rim. But he will establish a rhythm. His timing will return. Hopefully he will understand when to take heat checks, but that's probably asking too much. His new improved defensive #s should satisfy the stat/efficiency whores but they'll call it an abberation. The fact is we've seen this script before in NY basketball with Ewing.
We won't appreciate til he's gone. :mjpls:

So the Pelicans are hearing offers but not really pushing to move Anderson...Maybe they wanna free up some space to re-sign him. That could make Gordon and Evans the fire sale guys...I'd inquire even though the two roster's don't particularly match well assets wise. Even if not them, maybe we can play third wheel to balance the roster a bit. Pure speculation here though.

Just won a game on 2K against some guy playing the Cavs.

I don't think I ever beat the Cavs on 2K. Ever.
