The only current real asset we have is Calderon. (not counting KP obviously)

But no one's trading anything worthwhile for Melo...and the rest of the roster is basically a dumpsterfire.

I still think a decent deal could be had for Melo... seeing as - as recently as 14 months ago he could have fetched Jimmy Butler and Mirotic. If he starts shooting better, that plus his improved effort on defense could make him appetizing to a fringe contender.

Who are the fringe contenders he'd waive the no trade for? Riley isnt trading for Carmelo or giving up Winslow.

Posted this on Twitter earlier. This is pending two things;

January 14th - when Dragic is available to be traded
Miami agreeing to give a 1st to Sacramento (and possibly a future Houston 1st to SAC as well)

Knicks get Winslow and 3 expirings for Melo.
Lmao why do people think justice Winslow is good?

It's funny how Melo is suppose to be "overrated" and a chucker, yet you have cats from other teams trying to give us scraps for him. And I don't get the love affair people have with Winslow, he seemed average at best.

Anyways back to the stuff that matters

@Trip might like this trade proposal, per Chad Ford on ESPN insider

What's one trade you'd really like to see happen?

Ford: Carmelo to the Heat, Robin Lopez to the Kings and a combination headlined by Justise Winslow and Willie Cauley-Stein to the Knicks (with other players included for salary matching). Miami is a place where Anthony might agree to go, the Kings would get a center who adds defense and toughness and the Knicks would get two good prospects that intrigued them before the 2015 draft. While the Knicks would be taking a step back, it would show they were serious about building a great team.

Essentially Melo for two top 10 picks, I'd do it. These Melo to Miami rumors are only gonna pick up steam in the next few months, since they need shooting so bad, and like I said in the off season, Melo puts them on the short list of teams that can make it to the finals.

People STILL talking about Melo trades, jeezus :snoop:
These nikkas just itching to go back into purgatory:scust:

@Trip stop being such negative nancy breh. We got 11 wins so far and the east is really close this year. You don't know if melo will improve over the next few months and Phil has a couple moves up his sleeve. Y'all just giving up on everything.

These trade scenarios getting outrageous
