Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
he's not a superstar, and isn't even an all-star in terms of performance.

Unless something drastically changes Melo is done as an elite player, he's 11% below league average when it comes to finishing at the rim right now and that was an area he was never elite at but was at the very least decent. It's starting to look like he's lost a step which isn't surprising considering this is the same surgery that ended Danny Granger's career and made Dwyane Wade a shell of himself. He's going to need to adjust his game cause he's just not finishing in the paint and that explosiveness seems to be on sabbatical.

Couple things

A direct pass to KP probably get stolen. A lob? That's probably free throws at the very least.

I watched Melo long enough to know when he's looking at the floor, he's pulling it. It looks like he was eyeing the spot he intended to shoot from. That dribble pull up three in the clutch hasnt worked since that Bulls game like 3 years ago. Stop shooting that bullshyt.

Yea he got fouled, but let's be honest that's the shot he was taking whether he was double teamed or not. Ever since the Woodson era, he's always settled for the easiest shot with the game on the line. It's so frustrating because this is a guy who has always been money with the game on the line when shooting from 18 feet and in

I'm more annoyed with the shot than the lack of a forced pass

Remove all previous plays, all future decisions and everything else from the play.

Watch the play as a stand alone moment.

A player receives the ball in the back court with four seconds to go and pressure from jump. He gets up the floor in two seconds but is being doubled and clearly fouled as he approaches the three point line; there are 2 seconds to get a shot off. Pulling up for a continuation whistle and chance to ice the game at the line is a pretty good decision.

People are holding the past against Melo and overlooking the obvious, which EVERYONE admits is true. He was fouled on the pull up clearly...the problem on that individual play is that refs didn't blow the whistle. You can still hate Melo for whatever reasons you like, but on this play, come on!

Oh, no? He sure managed to out-rebound the 7'3'' guy in your avi by 7. Nearly had more offensive rebounds than your 7'3'' hero had altogether. Had double the assists your 7'3'' hero had because your 7'3'' hero doesn't pass. Played defense last night and all season and your 7'3'' hero hasn't and didn't last night. Your 7'3'' hero needs him to teach him post moves that he still can't convert without turning the ball over. Your 7'3'' hero needs him to be on the floor to set him up for buckets, set screens to get him open, and to distract defenses to get him open. To put it plainly, without 'Melo, your 7'3'' hero will shoot the ball just as poorly as 'Melo is. That was the case before Arron came back. Your 7'3'' hero can't even develop without a Superstar like 'Melo. Chuckbrook was a "Superstar" when he was putting up the same stats (fg% included, and while playing with another Superstar) as an unhealthy version of 'Melo, not to mention he's averaging as many turnovers as 'Melo had last night (5), but when 'Melo does it on 1 knee, he's not a Superstar. :russ:

P.S. - Your 7'3'' hero was trash last night...........on both ends. He's healthy. Defenses don't even respect him because they're so terrified of 'Melo, even when 'Melo is struggling. So, I wonder what ever could've gone wrong for the young Superstar. :jbhmm:

Porzinigis isn't a superstar.

Form an argument about superstar status around a rookie brehs.

Grant only played 3 mins and NY still had a chance to win. Didn't see that coming. Grant can't shoot, but he plays defense.
