These dudes didn't see porzingis until they saw the replay yet they expect Melo to see him in live action while 3 dudes on him and 1 is pulling his arm.

To be fair to Melo, the Hornets were inbounding the ball at their own baseline so they had much easier time to get a quality shot. Knicks were inbounding from their own backcourt, but I get what you're trying to say.

The question must be asked why doesn't melo get superstar calls. He has been in the league long enough.
You can blame the refs all you want but at some point you should realize that melo has failed at managing that relationship.
