:ufdup:For those that ain't know Rondo always could get up, he's deceptively quick and his athleticism's severely underrated he low key up there wit Rose and Westbrook for most athletic PGs.

It's only a foul if it gets called. Melo forced the shot being covered by two guys and missed a wide open man under the basket. They were too many mistakes in this game by everyone, and for us to even have a chance to win then come up short, hurts. Right now, this is a weak minded team that can't close games.

I don't want to see Lopez starting. If he's not trusted to close games, or even play in the 4th quarter, then he have to come off the bench

Bottom line if he wants to have the starting lineup get a little quicker then fisher should go to a three guard rotation or get the compadres Lopez and Calderon out and bring in Quinn and Galloway :yeshrug: just my thoughts.

We could Melo all we want which I'm not doing but we fell behind for most of the game and played like we didn't even belong in the kings league :snoop:l

This team needs a wake up call or it's going to be another long season .

So he's to make a 30ft pass with 2 cats draped on him ,and Porz would've had time to catch, spin & shoot all under 5 secs?

I didn't watch the game, DVR'ed it, but seeing that play I think people gotta be nuts to act like Melo could complete the pass with under 5 seconds left; one handed (one's grabbed); and over or between a double team (thanks to the angle and free hand).

It's true. :heh:

But don't the stats show they run a faster pace with him on the court?

Also, regarding Melo... are people aware we inbounded in the back court making the inbound that much harder?

No one saw Porzingis during the play initially and cousins rotated off of Kris when he saw Melo entering a shooting mechanic.

He clearly got fouled, I don't think many people are getting that call anyway though, not just Melo. I put the blame on the coaching staff for such an unimaginative playcall. They might as well headed up court without the timeout, at least the Kings were not set on defense.

Also, it definitely appeared as Melo entered shooting formation to get the 3 foul shots since during the arm grab he figured it'd be a call.

The question must be asked why doesn't melo get superstar calls. He has been in the league long enough.
You can blame the refs all you want but at some point you should realize that melo has failed at managing that relationship.
Kinda like rasheed.
he's not a superstar, and isn't even an all-star in terms of performance.

Btw it's obvious Fisher isn't liking what he's seeing from Grant, and the kid is really having a rough time in the little amount of minutes he's getting. Reminds me of Toney Douglas with the picking up of the dribble early, and the jump passes in traffic. He's got some work to do, and I hope he can get his confidence up soon.

Question is why do players have to have a relationships with the refs to get calls? Refs p*ssyclot females? You dont wanna be friends so they spite you? fukk outta here with that bullshyt. If they can't be impartial they need to get the fukk out the league and go work at walmart where these idiots would be working w/o the NBA

Zeller was going to the basket, Porz had his back to the basket, so AGAIN, he would've had to catch, spin & then shoot.
Dude ain't Perkins. You're making it seem as though he'd have to go through some robotic motion to get a basket. He's tall enough, athletic enough, fluid enough and smart enough to catch a pass and dunk it all in one motion in that situation. This shyt is just Melo's Kalniek vision taking over in these type of situations - where he doesn't know anything else but to jack up a shot - no matter what the coverage is or where he's on the court.

I wouldn't pin this loss on him (it isn't as simple as this ONE play), but he definitely did fukk up by not passing the ball to Porzingis.

I'm convinced Melo would not have taken the shot yet had Rondo NOT grabbed his arm.

It was basketball 101...you get fouled and you enter shooting formation to alert ref for the foul shots.

Melo most have figured the Kings would foul before the shot to take more time off of the game so Melo entered the mechanic to hopefully get 3 shots.

He got screwed as always.
