Gotta dead that trade Melo noise, a Melo trade is a bad idea. The max level players are tough to get to go anywhere, let alone a team that's top piece can't legally buy alcohol. We don't have our draft pick, so it doesn't help us by setting us back either. Melo's also still getting his legs back, which takes a long time for most players after knee surgery, so he's not playing his value up. You're talking about settling for less than best value and shooting yourself in the foot for free agency while giving away a better draft pick to a division rival...sounds pretty dumb to me.

Keep Melo and enjoy the chemistry that he's continuing to develop with KP (and Afflalo). Build up your youth, Galloway and Grant are both nice pieces to develop and KOQ can grow as well. Our needs are pretty glaring, a back-up PF who preferably can stretch the floor and a PG that can be locked in for years to come...19 million in cap space is the minimum, if AA or D-Will opts out we've got more...depending on who comes in we can generate even more space by stretching Calderon (an option if Conley were to come through because I think dude is the perfect PG for this crew).

Basically, just stick to the plan Phil has had and let him finish up his vision with another offseason of big cap space and a team that's improved light years compared to what he inherited.

Brehs really complaining about Melo? :dwillhuh: He's passing well, working on the board, posting up more and seems to appreciate playing with all the new guys. Lest we forget he's the franchise but everyone's in a Kristaps frenzy right now, he's handling it quite well from what I see. It's a work in progress and we're hovering around .500 with a new exciting team, brehs need to chill and enjoy the ride a little. He's coming back from that injury still too.

Not the first time this happened, and unfortunately it won't be the last. Once he gets his shot back on track, people will jump back on his dikk.

In their defense, no they won't. They'll say he doesn't have as many assists as Lj (even though it's just fine that Dirk and KD don't either and that Chuck Curry, who is a pg, is now chucking 20 shots per game from 40 ft away). People who hate on a player who gets buckets like 'Melo, are brainwashed by the media and there is no hope for them.

Melo doesn't need to go, he just need to realize KP is a rare talent with a rare clutch gene, he has to willingly relinquish the number one role, KP needs 20-25 shots a game...Melo is seeing and feeding the beast lately hopefully Fish gets the picture...

Nah they will it's happened with certain posters before, but I'm won't say names, we don't need a civil war in here.
