I have question... where do people think the Knicks would have ended up record wise if Melo hasn't gotten hurt by the ref mid-season?

And do you take that into consternation when you consider the Knicks improvement this year over last year, or do you still reference what their actual record was?
They still wouldve missed the playoffs. They never replaced what they lost that year they were the number 3 seed. That team had a good mix of vets n young cats

Even though he threw dirt on Melo's name after he left, I still had respect for STAT & his knees. He was the only star player who wanted to come here, and brought us out the dark ages. Hopefully they hook home up with a job within the organization like they did Starks & LJ. :salute:to Amar'e Stoudemire, enjoy retirement big homie.

I appreciate Amar'e. I didn't think he was a good investment, because I think paying players with injury histories is a bad idea. But he wanted to come to new york, and he wanted to win here, when nobody else did.

You could make a very real argument, that the track that team was on, led by Amar'e, with all of the young players, and draft picks still in our pockets, was our best team/roster situation in the last 10 years. Loved watching that team, and glad he wanted to retire as a Knick.

He probably would have gotten a ring in Phoenix if the whole Nash/Horry squabble didnt go down.

Amare choosing to retire in NY over Phoenix is kind of stunning, it must be because of how Dolan hooks players up after retirement(or it's at least partly due to that). Fans have talked shyt about Dolan over the years, but it's cool as fukk of him to put players on after they're done in the NBA.
in phoniex amare felt underappreciated
everything was about nash
knick fans embraced him like no other, made him the face, and credited him with ending the drought
