Shouldn't have thrown Robin Lopez in that trade, he's better than Noah, makes less, and is a lot more durable. If I knew things would play out like this, then I'd rather have maxed out Conley and kept Lopez/Grant, than trade for Rose and overpay for Noah:francis:

Well good thang you aint GM then nikka. For the life of me I cant understand how a career 8 pt. per game scorer in Lopez has been elevated to this Wilt Chamberlain like mythical figure in the days following the trade from perpetually angst-ridden, miserable knick fans.

A bench bum in Mosgov just got 15 per year. This is the NBA market, not coupon clipping at Walmart. There's risk in any endeavored move. Scared money dont make money. Either you have an optimistic mindset, or you look for ways to find the glass not only half empty, but broke. Noah is a warrior, a leader, and a winner. The exact type influence you want on an organization, and an emerging player like KP. But some of y'all would rather the knicks win 17 games and pick in the five slot every year, and set root a losing, lottery treadmill culture.

We both lost here man. I could easily go Mozgov >>>>>> Noah but that's like saying HIV >>>>> Aids.

Na paying 65 mill for a dude who literally is the white version of kendrick perkins

Is the biggest L

Mosgov cant even get up the court

Dont think dude played all year

And he was healthy

The Knicks do have their pick this upcoming year, and it's not like the Knicks were making the Playoffs with Melo anyway, so you could rebuild just fine.

But their gonna make the playoffs this year with melo.

And you dont waste a star players prime

If you wanna rebuild you trade em

And that ship obv sailed a while ago

Blind optimism is akin to stupidity. I'm fine with a move if there is a chance for upside, it's there for Rose, but not for Noah. he's averaged 4 and 9 last year, and played 29 games;he's a perpetual injury risk. Lopez is better in every way, and not just in terms of box score stats, I'm talking opposing fg%, setting screens, points per post up, shyt like that.Noah being a "winner, leader, and warrior" hasn't really helped the Bulls much the last couple of years either. You could watch the games and see who's better easily. And how the do you get an emerging player like KP? through the draft. Look man, I'm not gonna get involved in a back in forth about this, because the last decade and a half of a "win now, overpay for bums and make moves with no upside" speaks for itself. Sometimes no move is better than anything, and no one says tank every year man, quit with the hyperbole. You can do good supplementing your team through a free agency, but it's not how you build a contender, and it's been proven time and time again; You pull from everything, the draft, trades, and free agency, and the draft is where you get your most cost effective contracts, which the Knicks have ignored throughout it's suckage.
