It's going to be Luke, its going to suck having to wait until July for it to be official

I wouldn't be surprised. Also explains why he hasn't really reached out to people. He knows how that being used as a joke candidate feels, considering his sort of Brother in Law basically did the same thing to him a few years ago.

If I'm Luke, I take the Wolves job the second it's offered to me. Wiggins; Towns, Lavine, Bazz, and possibly Ingram is too hard to pass up.

Breh the Wolves ain't paying him like NY is going to pay him. I still think the move is to tank, but this makes a lot of sense too.

Or Flipside he has decided to go young. That 30 mil potentially mean Phil can steal damn near any RFA he wants. Like Luke makes a lot of sense, but keeping Melo out the loop and ostracizing him isn't the move you do for a guy with a NTC. Unless you want him to waive it.

:patrice:Who do you trust more with the keys to this franchise.... Phil Jackson or Melo?
Carmelo Anthony
He Atleast expresses enthusium about being here and is clearly wants to knicks to build a competitive team that's in the mix of things. Him saying that comment about 8th seed not being his idea of success spoke volumes. If he just wanted a paycheck, he wouldn't be talking like this

Phil on the other hand, has being coasting through this job, has proven time and time again that hiring the best personell (whether players or coaches) is not his priority, cares more about his triangle agenda than he does winning games, and seems like he's ready to go to la.

He's also arrogrant. Melo atleast has the right attitude about things

There is a lot of drama brewing right now fam
Read between the lines of what these guys are saying
Off season barely started for us and I'm already anxious, don't know how I'll make it to October:sadcam:
Carmelo Anthony, Phil Jackson not on same page with Knicks

Cause it looks like Drama is building. Read Phil's statements and its passive aggressive as fukk when it comes to the idea of Melo staying on the Knicks.
We don't do drama in NYC b,:dame:

Leave that shyt for the gossipy ass media.

Phil called the media out for making it harder to recruit FA's and flat out called BS on their coaching search commentary (a flat out shot at the Mark Jackson rumor imo but Bondy implied it was about Thibs because he's a drama queen). The media frames a lot of this ish so that we're thinking it's all drama. Melo sent mixed messages and left the door open to waive the NTC but considering his comments about seeing a future with KP, understanding the Knicks have to build for KP's window as well as his own and saying he hasn't had any discussions with management about leaving; I doubt he waives the NTC unless Phil really blatantly goes in the tank which would require not using that 30 million in cap space.

The only positive thing I've heard from Phil is tweaking Melo which means he wants him to wave his ntc. But unfortunately I don't see Melo doing it. If winning was the most important thing to him he would have signed somewhere else
