Houston gets: Melo
Knicks get: 2018 lotto protected pick and KJ McDaniels

Would you do this if Miami and LAC don't want to part with Winslow/Blake for Melo?

You suck at making these unrealistic 2K type of trades. WOAT Coli GM. :wow:
Knicks are gonna have to get at least one late lottery pick for an all star like Carmelo.

Said this before. Phil doesn't want Melo to stay in NY. Melo doesn't want to leave A lot of Phil's move and statement since even before the trade line looked like he was seriously considering tanking next year and right now it looks like he still plans to do it.

Triangle Hard-On aside a lot of politics are going on in NY. Also don't assume Dolan is supporting Melo either because after his "talk to the owner" statement and Phil drafting KP, Phil has some juice with Dolan.

:patrice:Who do you trust more with the keys to this franchise.... Phil Jackson or Melo?

Neither. nobody outside of a few delusional fanboys in this thread would think it's a good idea to keep building around and give the keys to an aging player with a ton of mileage who will soon decline even more.

Phil seems hellbent on making this job his opportunity to prove that his triangle was somehow more important then personnel

Knicks are really in a awful spot here. Outside of Durant signing which isn't gonna happen I really see no light at the end of the tunnel here

Melo has a NTC and will only go to big markets. The only big market teams interested in him have little assets outside of Miami/LAC. Chicago or Houston can offer Mirotic/Dontas, but theyre pretty redundant with KP. It's not like the Lakers are going to trade a top pick to ya'll when they need players to build around, and Melo is too old to build around.

Tanking is the best option. It sucks but we got all our picks going forward and next year is suppose to be a strong draft. The best move is tank and save money to get superior roleplayers. I'm telling ya'll trying to build a playoff team around Melo in the Warriors prime is a fool's errand. Your spending millions to get to the second round or bust.

I just don't see Melo waiving his ntc. I think he's content here. He doesn't strike me as a Kobe level competitor who cant stand losing. Plus I think his ego is big enough where he'd rather be the main guy and lose then go to s contender as a 2nd option

Suns got a late lottery pick from the Wiz for Markieff Morris. What makes you think teams won't offer more for player of Melo's caliber??? :comeon:
The Rockets have younger players like Dekker, McDaniels and Capela. Any combination of them and a multiple first round picks would be fine. The Wizards can be a decent partner, too.

Agreed, but they can't hire that clown Rambis. That would guarantee another wasted year of development for Grant and Porzingis.

Good on Melo for making his views clear: Get a decent coach, and let me be more involved in the rebuilding process.

Yes Phil blessed us with Porzingis, and RoLo, but sticking to his boys on coaching ain't gonna fix shyt, his coaching tree proves it.

Thibs or Blatt 2017 please :mjcry:
