You know what...

I was about to write this long ass diatribe, but I am actually not as upset as I thought I would be this morning.

Let me ask you guys this, do you think Carmelo will be willing to play the Paul Pierce role when he obviously needed help in Boston? If so, what can the Knicks realistically do to improve their position starting next season? Carmelo appears to be strong in his stance and wants to end his career on the Knicks. What are the pieces that compliment him well? Who can we get to help this dude from this terrible situation?

I think our 3-5 is good. Lopez is a top 8 center in the league IMO, especially with his post game improving. We need major upgrades at the 1 and the two and probably one real piece off the bench. We have a lot of 8-9 options being relied upon as 5th and 6th options on this team.

Lopez is a back up center on any contending team
Affalo is whatever
Yall give PHIL too much passes
All these guys are WHATEVEr players
He said he was focusing on free agency this past summer and he improved the team minimally
We don't even have cap space to get a star at the moment
And if we want Conley we most likely gonna have to give him a 100 mil :dead:
Rondo was there to be picked up for cheap last off season and we stuck with calderon
Now we are most likely gonna be targeting rondo this summer but with the price going way up

The coach and the players we had were better before he came
Don't tell me he couldn't of done more
He's inexperienced and it's showing

No way on Rondo. Who else was there- Monroe? I'm glad he didn't sign him.

Hol up, real quick.

All this madness is causing everyone to lose their minds.

All the losing is obviously getting to us but we need to take a deep breath and just relax a minute.

I see some of you are doubting Phil, meanwhile others going to extreme measures and wishing cancer on players.

You guys need to remember that it's just basketball. It's a game. Calm down. We still have our problems, we have bills to pay, things to deal with at work, at home, friends and families. Let's just focus on the bigger picture and look at whatever positives is there, for example, Porzingis.

Also, with Tweetgate, I expect Phil to definitely look for someone new. That's one thing we can look forward to this summer.

Be safe, brehs.

Much love. Peace.

This post represents the most optimism this thread has seen in a minute. Don't even ask me how. :lawd:

Rondo has already said he's not coming. He doesn't think the triangle will work for him. Phil heard that and said :manny:

KP that's about it. Everything else sucks. Atleast we had a goal to tank last year. Melo can't even make an impact at this point.

How much of an impact is Melo suppose to have? Yes we knew that reaching the playoffs was a tough, but very attainable goal this season. But you really acting like watching a 15 win team trotting out Shane Larkin, Ricky Ledo, Lance Thomas, Amundson was more enjoyable to watch this year's team? Again us Knicks fans overreact to everything, be it good or bad.

Plot twist: Phil realized he has a future with Porzingis and not with Melo, and had the Knicks play like shyt so Melo gets pissed off and asks to leave :ohhh:

Just speculation because this season sucks :mjcry:

EDIT:
It's getting to the point where I feel like PHIL might be doing this on purpose to try and force melo's hand. They were sending subliminal shots at one another the week of the Allstar game
Neither of em wants to be the first to ask about waiving the clause
I'm a knick fan no matter what, but it just seems like Melo getting a raw deal. I highly doubt told him it was gonna be this way in their free agency meeting
Phils doing a horrible job

Ow shyt I wasnt the only one who thought that lol

Honestly, after watching RoLo up close this year there's only one center in the league I would take over him, and that's Gasol.

I think Cousins and Whiteside are better talents, but they are headcases. And headcases rarely win in the NBA. Deandre Jordan is a beast on the boards and on defense but his offensive game is basura. Gobert is solid but his overall game isn't there yet.

RoLo is more well-rounded than other centers. He can shoot effectively from 15' out, is a good and WILLING passer, and never tries to do too much on offense. He defends the paint, he defends the rim, he alters shots, he rebounds, his help-side defense is good, and his baby hook is money with either hand. He plays hard and he plays smart. To me, he's a piece the Knicks keep to build a championship team.

:mjlol::mjlol::lolbron::lolbron:. This team will suck for awhile, I would suggest researching the players that will be available in the 2017 draft because the Knicks will miss the playoffs next year as well. Durant ain't coming here and everyone else available won't make this team a contender.

Yeah, I think Lopez has a case for top 10 in spite of his season averages looking :scust:. He does a LOT of stuff you only see on advanced stat lines.

Getting a starting caliber PG and having Galloway or Grant take a leap to bump AA to a sixth man role would be great for us. Or having AA and Dwill both opt out so we can sign two starters (might still not be enough though with the cap rising).
