He was being paid way too much for him to be that up and down, don't know if Wing is the answer but it was time to move on.

A good punter can be overlooked by casual and non-team fans...especially when you're a good team that doesn't always have the most effective offense. Landers, Weatherford and Feagles were HUGE in those SB seasons and playoff runs. Forever G-Men, city legends.

For sure, Punters (especially if they are the holder too) are a big part of a teams success.

Which is why when Weatherford is on the salary he's on and not performing like he did 3-4 years ago anymore, its time to find a guy who can switch the field with punts and drop it inside the 15 consistently.

Had we released him when he was still at his best I'd get why some are so upset, but unfortunately you gotta put present form ahead of past glory.

Now we just need to see what Wing has, because we all remember the period between Feagles and Weatherford
