He can only be added to nfi then to IR if the giants feel he isnt ready. Sounds like they are hopeful that he will be ready soon but not soon enough to cut someone and make him inactive on game day.

Every game he misses goes back to the salary cap..miss 6 games about 5 million goes to the salary cap. We would have to spend that cash on decent free agents or re-sign our players
