If a nikka said to me

:demonic: "You can either listen to pusha T rap or cut 2 of your fingers off"

:patrice:

:jbhmm: "Does it matter which 2 tho?"

Nope. C'mon fam. Biggie was probably one of the most if not the most versatile rapper ever.

Biggie could rap about EVERYTHING: sex, love, egotrip, storytelling, depression, funny story about nonsense, drug, killing, poverty and success, etc.
he could but that doesn't change the fact that 9/10 when you heard a biggie verse it was some bullshyt. idk why yall so defensive like i called him trash. that nikka was the GOAT cus he was the full package (could rap great and make hits).

he is unable to fill the shoes that his reputation on the internet gives to him, plain and simple. good mc, great voice and technique, but has 0 of value to say

and yeah, i love me some good coke rap, but this dude is also a multi-millionaire with a wife and kids - it feels so performative at this point, especially since there isn't a significant increase in quality either lol

push should be in a much larger conversation than he is today, but he is way too comfortable and it shows. dude will still release music and i'm happy for everybody who rocks with him but he's also kinda done as an artist imo :francis:
I mean you aren't all that wrong but I don't see what he's doing as much more performative than Freddie Gibbs or Rick Ross for example. He's playing a character at this point. To whatever extent he lived the coke dealing life, everyone knows that shyt is way way in the past. But it's fun.

I may be alone on this, but to me there was a step up in quality. I really tried to get into his solo music and aside from a handful of joints on every project, I never really rocked with a while Push album until Daytona. Admittedly, Daytona was only 7 joints, but I thought he hit all 7 of them out of the park, and I thought the production was really unique and interesting.

I don't think anyone thinks you called him trash. It's dope that you love Biggie, but why do we have to pretend he was one dimensional if we don't think he was?

Saying Biggie didn't rap about shyt is a crazy ass take though :dwillhuh:

Everyday Struggle
Suicidal Thoughts
Juicy
Gimme The Loot
I Got a Story To Tell
10 Crack Commandments
One More Chance
Sky's The Limit
Long Kiss Goodnight

The list goes on. Dude could do storytelling, concept joints, rapping in alternate characters, depression, suicide, rags to riches, sex joints, diss tracks, kingpin shyt, poverty music...

The idea that Big was a one dimensional rapper is absurd. :mindblown:
you named like 9 songs vs biggie entire catalog of verses about being a plug bytches jewelry making nikkas disappear and guns and shyt. go through biggie catalog this weekend and take a note everytime he talk about killing someone making someone disappear being a boss or some other bullshyt vs the other dimensions you claim be has. the former is going to blow the latter out the water. proving my point.

Nah, he could and he did. I can list a biggie song for each one of these topics.

This sentence does not make sense. These songs are part of his catalogue.

it makes perfect sense. you just dont agree with my angle so you are trying to nitpick it. for every song like miss u he made he has 8-10 verses of bullshyt. pusha has verses outside of brick talk too but the bulk of his shyt is bricks. biggie isnt different. if 95% of your catalog subject matter is bullshyt its not wrong for someone to say all you rap about is bullshyt.

You're making 0 sense. Nobody is saying BIG never rapped about bullshyt.

Biggie rapped about everything, including bullshyt.

Your 'Biggie rapped about nothing' narrative is not based on facts. Biggie was not a mono-dimensional rapper.

You made up a bullshyt argument to defend Pusha. Just admit you were wrong, instead of doubling up and pulling numbers out of nowhere. 95%?
