why should he ? he did all his best rapping from 2000 to 2010.

he slowed his style down to be a solo mc and became more animated/character driven and gives people exactly what they want.
people were mixed on his solo career but the Daytona and Addion record back to back cemented him as a soloist and he just feeds the demand/meme of it all.

as one of his biggest fans on I can admit there is a bit of a bias towards him by certain media but its nice to see him get his due.
Cemented him?

Pusha’s career is in the same place today as it was before Daytona

He’s not a bad rapper but he’s clearly peaked, the problem with being a one dimensional rapper is it’s only so far you can take that shyt
And truthfully, it was always supposed to be Malice:yeshrug:
Maybe that’s nostalgia talking though

Not to be snarky but has Too Short evolved?
Some people (like me) say yes cuz he has definitely made more songs geared for the club later in life (post ATL move).
However a large part of his fanbase is not looking for him to "evolve"

There are a lot of artists fanbases that feel the same way but Too Short stands out immediately on some "if it aint broke dont fix it" vibe

Is there even a substantial market/audience thats asking for Pusha to evolve to?

biggie was incredible but he didnt rap about shyt the majority of the time of course he got songs like suicidal thoughts and everyday but the point still stands.
biggie actully was pretty multi dimensional subject matter wise, had joints about all types of shyt...comparing him to pusha is disingenuous

he is unable to fill the shoes that his reputation on the internet gives to him, plain and simple. good mc, great voice and technique, but has 0 of value to say

and yeah, i love me some good coke rap, but this dude is also a multi-millionaire with a wife and kids - it feels so performative at this point, especially since there isn't a significant increase in quality either lol

push should be in a much larger conversation than he is today, but he is way too comfortable and it shows. dude will still release music and i'm happy for everybody who rocks with him but he's also kinda done as an artist imo :francis:

Harlem, NYC
Black child born in the storm
They had to bundle up to stay warm
Bodega babies
Strollers in the snow to the candy lady
That sugar make the monsters of the '90s crazy
Child rebel soldiers of the inner city
The hate me now, Tigers next to Nas and Diddy
His mama fell in love with drug dealin' Diddy
The only star left that was next to Biggie
Little did she know, she was one of four
And little did he know, he was one of eight
Unknown siblings all through middle school
With the same mean mug that was born from hate
Yeah, bodega babies
You wonder why these kids of the '90s crazy?
Hide and go seek when the father's lazy
And their mamas only want the early '90s Jay-Zs

hey said his skin wasn't light enough
And his future wasn't bright enough
Little sister don't talk much
'Cause their uncle had the Midas touch
Evil is as evil does
Mama looked away, blamed it on his needle buzz
Sold the food out the freezer when he needed drugs
Beggin' like he Cool J when he needed love
Yeah, bodega babies
You wonder why these kids of the '90s crazy?
Broken Black homes is the modern slavery
You can't raise a savage and deny the rabies
Woo, bodega babies
Yeah, bodega babies
How loud I got to scream for someone to save me?
And now I'm in the cell from everything you made me

Nope. C'mon fam. Biggie was probably one of the most if not the most versatile rapper ever.

Biggie could rap about EVERYTHING: sex, love, egotrip, storytelling, depression, funny story about nonsense, drug, killing, poverty and success, etc.

Before getting too far lets STOP the debate about Biggie Smalls being 1-dimensional in his raps.
His catalog is very diverse with a variety of subjects.

Do receipts really have to get pulled to prove this?

Back to Pusha......

didnt compare him to pusha just said he didnt really rap about shyt but it was amazing regardless
Saying Biggie didn't rap about shyt is a crazy ass take though :dwillhuh:

Everyday Struggle
Suicidal Thoughts
Juicy
Gimme The Loot
I Got a Story To Tell
10 Crack Commandments
One More Chance
Sky's The Limit
Long Kiss Goodnight

The list goes on. Dude could do storytelling, concept joints, rapping in alternate characters, depression, suicide, rags to riches, sex joints, diss tracks, kingpin shyt, poverty music...

The idea that Big was a one dimensional rapper is absurd. :mindblown:
