I saw some good things from Ambry Thomas last year, looks like he won't be seeing the field much this year. That O-line looks scary, in the worst way possible. :sadcam:
Wtf did he do wrong? He went from hero to zero over night :mjlol:

I know Womack looks legit. I still think Thomas gets some burn. Unfortunately injuries happen a lot with the Niners.

I still think the Niners run the ball well even with the interior shaky. :yeshrug: But damn lets give them a chance first to before thinking it's scary. :pachaha:Gotta get the chemistry going.

Just like Jimmy’s overthrow to Sanders I don’t think this changes the outcome. Offensive line was cooked. I’d take Tart back right now.
I never wanna see that bum again. His trash ass was cut by the Eagles. I always said he was mediocre. Stayed fukking hurt too. Just need to get the bum ass Ward out of here. I think they are bad luck for the 49ers.

Wasn't Fields supposed to make the Niners regret on passing on him in last season's game? :mjlol:
when he threw for 200 and ran for another 100? but we're not honoring the Nagy years here in Chicago anymore anyways

hope Trey is ready for primetime

I would at least put Thomas opposite of Ward and rotate him amd Moseley. I admit, I have no idea how our line will look but that center situation is the scariest. We didn't look that good there even though it was only pre season.

Thomas was not good most of the year last year until they started rolling coverages to him. That bit them in the ass in the Rams game in the offs where Kupp was supposed to be tracked by Ambry and he was late and Tartt didnt have enough of a close out.

I dont take too much stock in training camp stuff unless its spectacular or horrendous, but Ive heard Ambry was horrendous the entire camp. Moseley and Ward are penciled in as the starters and our defensive coaches never liked rotating any of the CBs. The only rotation they did on defensive backend was safeties with Huf, and clearly they were grooming him to take the job from Tartt

I tried not to watch much training camp stuff mainly because it's hard to see who's for real and who's just a camp star. Aiyuk looks ready though. That's about all I paid attention to. Also I'll say, as far as Thomas goes, you're right but also it's hard to get better by not playing.

It will be interesting if they can get Moseley extended for cheap. I think that will be the biggest factor in whether Ambry plays as a starter again.

They also have Verrett waiting on PUP, although I think everyone views him as an insurance and a backup bonus if he can return without many consequences to his play after the last injury.

:heh: so basically it looks like Lenoir will be on the streets by next year. Verrett is so solid, just can't stay healthy, he looked like a top tier corner most of the time when he was healthy.

All this fake energy, the Bears are still the Bears. We'll beat them like we always do. I'm not saying Justin Fields won't make some big plays but he's going to be tested by our front 7 and there's nothing telling me that their offensive line is so much better than last year.
