Travis
Carti
Uzi
Baby

Travis is definitely a superstar. Uzi has the numbers/success but hasn't really tested it with a major tour. He's done festivals but hasn't really had this own big tour yet. Baby has the numbers and did a arena tour last year with Durk. It didn't sell out all the dates. Still he's very big, just needs that mainstream appeal before I call him a superstar. And then there's Carti, who is just the definition of a superstar.

So Lil Baby having a number 1 album for FIVE WEEKS and going triple doesn’t make him a superstar because he “only” did 200k first week? His album spent more weeks at number 1 than Cole’s album did.

We gotta really come up with solid metrics for what makes a “superstar” BEYOND First week numbers. Yes they are important but with the way streaming is set up there’s more to it now.
But the only pullback on this. With streaming it could be the same people streaming your music over and over. A plat album in 2022 ain’t the same as a plat album in 2000.
It’s songs that are 5x platinum that I never heard. It’s to the point u can be niche and be plat. Not saying that’s the case with lil baby, but it’s hard to gauge this shyt now

He also did an arena tour, and while it didn't sell it out it sold pretty well. I'd say that's a pretty damn good gauge of popularity for bigger artists. Baby def got a lot of demographics on lock, from younger black people to ratchet whites and frat boys/girls.

If u ain’t selling atleast 300k first week u not a superstar and I think only Cole and drake did that last year . There are no new Superstars. Just a few more stars

I hate when you nikkas make up rules like who the fukk said this? And Cole aint no damn superstar

None of these new rappers are super stars

Snoop Dog is a superstar, DMX was a superstar, nikka went into blockbusters movies off the strength of his persona

none of the artist are superstars, they not 50 cent, they are not a brand outside of music, they are barely celebrities

people talking about Cardi B, SHE OLD, her era is over she was hot 4-5 years ago

she has not grown into a superstar that was on Rihanna level, not even close

Nikki Minaj career is over, she a non factor

Kendrick was never a superstar, he was a rap star, the general public have no idea who Kendrick Lamar is, Everybody even white Grandma's knew who Snoop Dog was, know who Jay-Z is, know who Eminem is, know who 50 Cent is, these are superstars

Rap no longer makes Superstars
