Sony learnt their lesson when they went from a successful PS2 to a flop PS3 when they fukked up by bringing out a console that was too expensive, hard to develop for and no games. From a successful PS4 to PS5, they followed the blueprint and didn’t deviate. Affordable, easy to develop for and the same quality games like Horizon and Spiderman. They know the winning formula now.

The only statistic they mention re: software sales is a 2 mill unit drop comparing the latest quarter to Q1 2022, while ignoring the massive games like Elden Ring, Horizon, GT7 that came out in Q1 2022. Just lazy analysis or intentionally ignoring context
