Larger games, which is why you adopted one, This gen. Last gen was held back by your inferior medium for playing games. This gen shoulda been last gen but sadly, xbox 360 was on the market and now they've finally caught up but are still left in the dust by the power of the playstation 4.

Not one game utilized an entire Blu-ray Disc. Sure switching discs is a minor annoyance. But waiting an hour before you can play a game is an even bigger annoyance

The question is, even if we say that the PS4 would allocate 4GB at any given time, would the 1.87 TFLOPS be enough to actually process all this available data?

Looking at the stock cards I would say no. Just slapping more RAM onto something isn’t enough to make it better. If we look at the HIS Radeon HD 7850 4GB iPower IceQ Turbo, which has 4GB integrated RAM, we notice barely any improvement in performance (HIS Radeon HD 7850 4GB iPower IceQ Turbo review - Introduction). It’s a great card, don’t get me wrong, but it could bottleneck the system.

It’s a curious choice to feature this flexible an architecture with this powerful a CPU and shared vRAM if the GPU won’t be able to process it.
pretty much what I said in that thread...

I'll take and lean on the developers who are excited except some fool scared that the ps4 is coming close to his precious pc world.

Articles like this friend, I know we are going in the right direction.

Yes, its true, they also hated Jesus.

the devs are in bed with the next-gen no matter what. I wouldn't look to them for an unbiased opinion

I dont recall having that experience for any game really. Assassin creed 3 was a long install though. Not something i noticed though. Tomb raider is a 13 gig game and i didnt experience these issues. Lets not use the minority as the majority, friend.

You have to install almost every game before you can play on ps3. That's due to the slow blu-ray drive. Your beloved Sony gimped your gaming experience to push a new media for movies. If Microsoft did this you'd be all over them talking about"Microsoft only cares about entertainment" but when Sony does it they get a pass, you didn't notice it :rudy:

Didn't see that thread. But the article I posted touches on that issue and says it would be an advantage over pc's I even bolded it for your convenience. And the dude that wrote the article even says its speculation. So what's your problem?

We would never have uncharted if not for the power of the ps3. A game that is impossible to create on 360 due to its inferior technology. Its ok, im sure you guys will have a few good games this gen too. Sony is the leader though when it comes to those blockbuster titles.

That's a fanboy myth. There was nothing in uncharted that couldnt be done on xbox. Tomb raider is out now running on Xbox with comparable graphics(some say better) and better gameplay.

You arent a developer. I think they know more than you do about this subject. No disrespect to your knowledge but developing video games for consoles isnt one of your strengths, friend.
