Seems that the system actually downclocks to OG ps4 specs when a game, that doesn't have a patch, is played on it.

Basically the major games will be updated. Every new game will be so no worries. don't expect MGSV TPP.

This reminds me of back when ps4 and xbox 360 came out, and the ps3 had blu ray and 360 only supported regular dvds unless you bought that hddvd add on bullshyt

Yeah it really is odd that 4K Blu-Rays are unable to be played considering that Sony is the one that introduced blu-ray in the first place. I would have thought that they want to keep that revenue coming in for people that still buy those discs...why not if you are including an optical drive anyway?
With all that said Mark Cerny is a genius in getting how he has led the PS4 project. Games load very quickly on a system that is still only equipped with an HDD by default. He just talks like an absolute weirdo out there...this dude was out there talking about algorithms and shyt like these are things that console gamers understand.
Adoption rate doesn't warrant it. If it wasn't in ps5 it would be a concern.
30 dollar uhd discs mean people can wait. That's half the price of a fukkin game to watch some shyt Ull probably view once.

take financial advice from someone who had to sell his cherished PS4 he stans so much, to go on vacation with his family - despite living at home and having no bills to pay brehs Its a "no brainer" to spend $800 on the same console thats still a few years behind technology wise and just a marginal upgrade over the current system

of course not. Thats all the PS4Pro is, a honda civic with leather seats.You buy a console cause youre a budget gamer(lets just be honest). Once you get into that $800+ range you are no longer budget gaming, but still getting same results
this why most people are broke, they look at stupid purchases like this as a "no brainer" purchase 
What happens when most developers still make games based on the current dev kit / 1080p 30-60 fps
but some how this is a no brainer gotta be the most irritional stan in the world to think dropping an additional $400 for a slight upgrade (that might not even be utilized , Sony is relying on game devs to follow in line) is a "no brainer" Anyone with rational thought wont see this as a "no brainer" purchase. Theyll see if the slight (and thats all it is) increase in performance is worth $800 total
If you are dipping into more than 10% of your savings to buy this marginal upgrade, you need to reevaluate how you spend money.. All hate aside, its really just not that good of an investment if you already own a PS4 and if you dont have money stashed away like that..
