And here we go again "What, yall got features? My PC did that years ago :sadbron:"
But years ago your PC didn't have an ESPN app because there was no such thing years ago. Men, real men. Not pusssies who mascarade as men on the internet do not watch TV or especially SPORTS via no damn stream unless they HAD to do that. Its not ideal, its not just as good. Its like watching a 280p rip of a blu-ray. Like, fucck outta here with this bullshiit you butthurt fagggot

Whoop-d-fukkin-doo

And would that rumor be started by some lame fagggot :stopitslime: Maybe they were saving that bombshell for E3!!!

No, it can't be used as another controller. When its streamed, yes. But just normally? Its not even a practical solution. Just like streaming 10ft from your TV isn't practical unless you are a pre-teen. Finally you keep saying used "outside of your home network" :what:
WHY YOU STILL LYING TO YOURSELF AS WELL AS OTHERS? NO YOU CANNOT USE IT OUTSIDE OF YOUR NETWORK. ALREADY CLEARED UP BY SONY THEMSELVES.

Wow, you're just so god damn angry. :dwillhuh:

This essentially means that the Vita can be used as another another PS4 controller as well right?

It has all the functionality of the DS4 controller, and with Sony adding that touch pad on there DS4 pad it all makes sense. Devs will just map shoulder buttons to the back touch pad on the Vita.

Not bad at all.

They're turning the Vita into a WiiU pad that can be used outside of your home network with your PS4.

:lupe:

i think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself. at this point all we know is that it will stream directly to the vita. the wii-u gamepad on the other hand can be integrated into the gameplay of any game. two completely different things. even if its possible, I highly doubt devs will use it for any function other than streaming because otherwise they would be making games that specifically require you to have a Vita, not just games that can be played optionally by remote play. Also, that would very specifically require extra development, not just the button mapping that has been suggested.

All in all this is a smart move though, definitely a plus for Vita owners. Might increase sales of the Vita too, which is kind of needed right now. It seems like Sony is really trying to make sure they've got all bases covered for the PS4. Also, who the fukk in their right mind really think Xbox Glass would be better for gaming that a dedicated handheld gaming device?

not interested in remote play on the Vita and i own one. it doesn't have enough shoulder buttons and doesn't have clickable sticks.

I don't think it's that far fetched to assume.

Like you touched on, Sony wants to give people more of a reason to buy a Vita. It looks like they want to have an option for everything for their competitors.

The Vita really can be their answer for the WiiU gamepad. The PSEye is their answer to the Kinect. They're just not forcing them on the consumer in order for the PS4 to work.

And if PS4 games have the ability to played on a Vita using the Vita's control scheme, I don't see why it would be that much work for devs to just enable the same control scheme players will use while playing via Remote Play as they would if the Vita was used as an actual DS4 controller.

No lie, I pictured all of this when the Vita was announced and then Nintendo dropped their WiiU announcement. If Sony does this right, they could even sway some gamers to cop a Vita before a WiiU.

When did Sony say you can take your vita outside and play the PS4 game you just streamed? Ive must have missed that one, unless you mean something different when you said outside your home network?

Anyways I much rather the opposite way, where I can play my VITA games on the PS4 when im at home

You could do it on the OG PSP and the PS3.

im sayin it could double as a controller, yes, but it wouldn't have the same functionality as the wii-u gamepad without extra development. for example, alot of wii-u games use asymmetric gameplay, especially for multiplayer action, which requires specific development for the second screen. the wii-u gamepad isn't solely a stream of the tv. they may be able to do this with PS4 and Vita, i dont know, but that would require alot of extra development for an item/accessory that customers may not have and if it is a necessary part of the game it would only appeal to those who have the Vita. you get what im saying right?

also, if they did develop asymetrical games for PS4/Vita, wouldn't that actually help Wii-U in terms of porting, since alot of devs currently complain that they dont know what to do with the second screen?
