And that's exactly why devs will shoot for the bare minimum of that mandate. If the vita was a standard feature devs would spend the time/resources to make it something special.

I don't know which would be easier to do, but if its easier for devs to just add a couple voice commands so they don't have to deal with remote play, that's what they will do.

Hold up, I missed the actual point of this thread I think. Are you saying its one or the other and not both Because the PSeye angle will be the route they play up the most and here's why. Kinect ONE. Kinect ONE will be the difference maker this gen. And while they will cater experiences that take advantage of Kinect, that won't be Xbox Exclusive. Sony will have plenty of the same features. But the question is how well will they work on the PS4. Without knowing too much about either, we can all assume that Kinect 2.0 is more advanced than PSeye 3.0. The battle will be how Kinect can differentiate itself from PSeye. If it can, that will be what is "mising" on the ps4 side of the equation. As long as Kinect is integrated at all, sony will have to decide if they want that as well in there version, or if they want to cater to the 15 Vita owners who can't use there HDTV's and would rather look at a screen about the same size of a cellphone. For next gen 1080p graphics. Doesn't make any sense, but lets act like it is ps heads!!!

Remote play is better because it shows what's on your TV on your handheld. How is full mirroring not better than a app that's just a remote?



Also, with Remote Play, you can turn on/off your console with the PSP/Vita without being on the same network. You can't do that with Glass. And since Glass doesn't show you what's on the screen you can't really turn off the console unless you're in the same room.

It's just a convenient feature, and it's about time Sony started letting people know about it.

And you can turn off your PS4 via your Vita? I guess thats better than using an xbox/ps3 controller? Or in the Xbox ONE's case, I can just say Xbox Off and it'll shut off. Why would I need to use smartglass to do that? In fact, you CAN shut off your console via smartglass When you in controls you can also hit the guide button. Just hold the guide button and the shut off options appear on your phone just like it does on your xbox. You can also do things like search for music/movies/games/etc and start them directly from smartglass. I was outside with friends while our kids was watching a movie. The kids wanted to watch something else, we switched the movie from the phone on the patio. I'd take that over playing a next gen 1080p 60fps game on a 5in screen. Stop this nonsense.

Skip to the 2:53 mark. That's how I know they plan on having something for people's tablets and phones in addition to this news about the Vita.

Its hard to be excited about a gaming console that isnt marketing itself as a gaming console and treats their fans like children. The xbox one reveal trailer had a lot of posters but when the dust settled only a couple had the passion to stand up and say *yes, this is the console for me and how dare you speak critically of it*

And by gaming you mean being able to shrink your gaming experience from a 55inTV to a 5in portable device that originally ran you $300. You would rather have that then the next Netflix Yes, the next netflix. And I'm pointing out how what your saying is... well, you saying about 3 different things here before you ended it with "full screen >>>" but let me explain why your wrong. I can do everything you said via my PC and xboxsmartglass. And more. I can play anything off of xbox music and start it on my xbox anywhere in the WORLD. It uses the internet, doesn't have to be connected via wifi. Yes, smartglass is worldwide wifi bruh. I can shut off my xbox from a beach. Why I would need to do that? Don't know, but I can do that. I can stream not only music form my PC (instead of using space on the xbox) I could also of used a remote PC app to control what you talking about if I wanted to be the DJ while I'm not home (basically some dumbshiit you just said) but I can also have my xbox play music I don't have on my xbox or PC. Its called Xbox Music, its basically pandora on steroids. Any album/song/I can search for it and it'll play instantly on my xbox. I got Kinect set up in the bedroom. This is how it works. "Xbox, Music" "Xbox, Bing (insert anything and it'll instantly pop up on screen) Xbox, play"

Then I can leave the country, look on my phone and see the playlist of whats playing, I can add to it/etc. All music that I don't even own, right from Xbox Music. But hey, if you'd rather NOT use Vita to stream like you just said, I guess thats a better option
