If your kids start sucking dikk because of a proud family cartoon, maybe yall need to be there more for your sons instead of bytching on the coli.

That's besides the point. they checked all the agenda boxes with this not only the gay shyt but the swirl shyt too.

There's hardly any Black children's programming on and this is what they go with?

I was too young to see the show but I remember the Greg Nice Lyric about Rickety Rocket being his favorite cartoon.

The shyt was about an all Black teenage detective agency where the villians where white.

You'd be a fool if you think they would put something like that on air again.

Damn I didn't know it was that bad, I mean was home slice even 18 when agreeing to this bullshyt?

The funny thing is Carl is actually gay and he never put on a fukkin' dress.

I blame The dude who played Urkel's greedy ass parents for allowing that shyt.
Naw bruh. The first time he played Myrtle he was a kid and he broke down crying afterwards. His pops told them he'd never play the character again. Jaleel himself told them it was okay to bring back the character years later when he was an adult. His parents weren't about that bullshyt.

I mean, at least you have tv shows with characters that look like you.

there are zero shows geared towards latin households.

honestly, besides handy manny, dora, and speedy Gonzalez I can’t think of shyt. (Those are mostly shytty depictions)

we have no latin superheroes. There are very few latin role models that aren’t athletes and musicians.

i’m not implying that representation in cartoons makes up for hundreds of years of mistreatment towards black people. In a perfect world there would be a cartoon (or really multiple cartoons) like the ones you posted for all ethnic backgrounds, so that no kid feels left out.

additionally, i hear all the time about blacks wanting representation in media. Its absolutely warranted. But like, don’t you want that for all black people? Or do you just want it for black people who look like and act like you? Thats not me trying to be a dikk, its a real question. Like, excluding people leaves people behind.

Not saying that black people aren’t deserving of better representation in the media (they are). But I don’t think that one gay couple in a cartoon is a slight to black people ( i know theres more than one instance of this on tv, but i say one since we’re talking about this specific cartoon). Like Schitts Creek and Modern Family have gay white characters and no one gives a fukk. But you guys want to draw lines amongst each other internally and wonder why theres no little unification on certain topics(im simplifying it).

Lastly, the swirl complaints is silly. Because if it were two gay black men people would complain about that too.

I’m not here to preach and pretend like I have the answers because I don’t. Puerto Rican’s have their own house to get in order and i’m well aware of that.

Latin nikkas need to Hold their own nuts, and besides half of the reason is because like asians they kinda want to be seen as shyt people so they trade their sombreros for some white actor named Garcia just like a lot of asian roles go to Hapas.

The issue is right now I do want people to look like me in my media. Frankly I don't care about other people's media represenatation and I don't exprct them to care about mines.

But what I will say is that the media that your child consumes will shape their worldview. You put your kid in front of Snow White on TV and get surprised when she fails the doll test.

In Africa there's hardly any Black faces on their local childrens programming. They may have one show about traditional Africa but that doesn't really help the city kids with cable who are gonna think that those white kid's shows is more relatable to them then he cartoons of Village Life in Africa.

They just don't have shows where Black people defeat evil white people or that white people are the adversary. I didn't notice it and they didn't make all the white people bad but in the Fat Albert show white people were irrelevant to Fat Albert and the gang or low key bad people.

JUST LIKE HOW IT IS FOR THE AVERAGE BLACK PERSON IN REAL LIFE. Just imagine if the average Black person was suspicious of white people's motives instead of trusting of them and suspicious of Black people.

All Non Black people are low key irrelevant to me that includes gay people and their agenda. They clearly have the money and power to change their representation and they do. Gay people are a tiny minority in the world they have the right to exist and have representation but I also reserve the right to raise my kids with gay people and all non cishet Black people as being irrelevant to them as gay people are to me.

well it's his fault that he got typecasted. I remember when he tried to play a grown up character on a UPN show and it didn't work.

They saw too much Myrtle and not enough Stephon. That shyt with him singing to Eddie was beyond the pale Eddie was a c00n for doing it. I couldn't watch that marriage scene. How that got on Television back then I don't know.

You're way more mad about it than me. Even if I wanted to watch that bullshyt I couldn't because I',m in Colombia where that dumb shyt would not get any play on Colombian TV.

I didn't say they didn't have the right to produce the bullshyt I said I'm not watching it. assuming that you're straight and on a board where nikkas are allowed to say the word fakkit how relevant were gay people to you in your life? You got a bunch of gay buddies? I worked for a media company and I knew 3 gay dudes there one was non flaming he was cool but we didn't grab beers after work or nothing. I was irrelevant to them as they were to me.

Good fences make for good neighbors.

But on the straight business trip I didn't go through the whole thread but I would assume that the people who wanted to see this is in the minority, the shea buttas constantly talk about how homophobic the Black community is, Why produce something that will be quickly cancelled?

Despite the Jigga Co sign Frank Ocean lost his career because the women stopped fukking with him.

Really? What part? One of the things that shocked me when i first went to the continent was the stark lack of white people anywhere on their radio and tv. I damn near cried when i saw a cohesive black family on a colgate commercial, because we rarely see that stuff in the US. As i flipped through their tv, you had to actively search for non-black representation (usually in the form of spanish, indian, or filipino soap operas which is weird to me).

For the record, this tv story was the same when i visited Senegal, Tanzania, and Kenya. Were you in South Africa when you saw this?

This thread is so funny because cartoons for many of us growing up had gay and crossdressing characters doing suspect things all over the damn place. Bugs Bunny and a number of other characters use to crossdress and do suspect stuff all the time, and y'all know how old those characters are.

Like if a form of media is making you or someone else want to suck dikk..... I got bad news you already wanted to suck dikk. Don't blame it on TV and just embrace what you are.
