Anyway, when it comes to this stuff, I just want the dialogue and plots to feel natural and organic. One of the things I hate with recent shows is how the dialogue sounds more like a Huffington post article than actual people talking.

Exactly, literally none of this is organic, in pretty much any show/movie. It always just seems shoe-horned in, like “HEY LOOK, here’s some gay characters! They’re just like you and me!” and nothing more.
