Cena didn't really react all that well when Punk cut that "dynasty/New York Yankees" promo where he pretty much claimed that Cena's everyman persona was just a ploy/facade given his stature within the company.

What happened to Billy Gunn's push anyway. He won that KOTR then proceeded to do absolutely nothing and get chewed up and spit out on the mic by the rock at some point before Edge brought out the shovel and officially buried his existence

He flopped in the main event and got a shoulder injury. Plus his Mr. Ass gimmick was stupid as hell. Giving him the King of the Ring was a joke.

Always hated this promo. From both sides. And the direction WWE took the feud in 2012. Could tell that were just flat out of ideas and was ready for the match as well as doing everything they can to sway things in Cena's favor because the shyt was crazy one sided all year long. Never understood why they had to use the crib notes thing as one of their avenues to getting things on Cenas side. There were much better ways WWE could have handled these two. Rocks an actor, he memorizes lines for a living.

Simple desperation to try getting the crowd behind cena. Same as his ranting about how the rock left and doesn't care but I do care. Even if so, the crowd will always back the rock instead.
