It didn't make sense. Rock was one of the highest paid Hollywood actors at the time and was getting multiple scripts thrown at him. Coming back to wrestling showed how much he did care about the business.

Rock's Hollywood career post 2011 and WM27 is much bigger than pre-2011. He had some success but was not what he is right now back in 2010, not by a long shot. Fast 5 was the beginning, and getting a buzz from wrestling fans was probably part of making Fast 5 as big as it was.

Not to say that Rock doesnt care about wrestling though.

Seems like it. Stone Cold got nothing from it. I don't remember them having a feud. It buried Lance Storm and reduced him to a "boring" wrestler which was a bad misrepresentation of his skills.

Which was a shame. Lance Storm was the most consistent performer during the end of WCW
