Movie was dope. One of the better efforts this year so far, hopefully the sequel is more focused.

I'll miss Chalize in that outfit though :takedat:

What makes it one of the better efforts to you? No hate just curious

Prometheus was fukking terrible, probably the worst movie I've seen in years. Why didn't the actual vessel "The Prometheus" in the film have some canons or some type of weaponry like any normal ship in a science fiction film would have? They could've blasted the Engineer's ship and keep it moving on the next mission. Prometheus could've been the new USS Enterprise on some Star Trek shyt :snoop: what a joke

:wtf:

Just because... man, forget it.

He didn't know it was a alien prequel :yeshrug: what do you feel about my criticism
I know its tied to the Alien mythos but at the same time isn't supposed to be in own timeline/universe? a multi billion dollar space mission, years of flight to reach the destination and the ship has no defenses whatsoever?

It was exactly what I expected to be. A more adventurous less claustrophobic version of Alien. It wasn't as good (Alien is one of my favorites) but I liked the whole creation storyline and they played the whole android/human dynamic well too. Everyone played their roles well to me even though not every member got enough spotlight. The whole "be careful what you wish for" twist was a nice touch too. Plus the C Section scene was classic.

I think the big problem with the movie is the plot was so grand that the writing and direction sometimes seemed unfulfilled but I think a sequel will remedy that which was probably what Scott was going to do all along.

You want to talk plot holes actually just straight illogical behavior ??? The scooby doo and shaggy scientist wandering off getting lost messing with strange alien life :snoop: the thing looked like a snake and you pet it ? You find alien remains and architecture these specialists panic and run ? Why they even come who chose these dummys. Not to mention they find alien life and they pretty nonchalant and shyt . They might've discovered all religion were fake this is big shyt and they like meh.
The two main were archaeologist so that so that is why they were excavating.

The dude that touch the snake thing, well that's kinda like what happens on those animal shows where they try to pet things they probably should leave alone.

The ones that panic and wanted to dip where biologist and petrologist(?). They didn't think they would actually find "alien" life, and plus they didn't know what they were actually there for till they woke up and were briefed.

I believe most were just shocked, not nonchalant

I liked the movies was let down by those silly things . A tighter script and it would be one of the best instead I have no intention of buying the blu-ray

:yeshrug: Some hate it, but I love it. I'm a bit disappointed that a novelization hasn't came out yet.

On another planet? :stopitslime:

Nobody in their right mind would try to pet a snake that is in an aggressive stance....and that alien was in the exact same stance. On another planet. This ain't "Crocodile Hunter".

Whole movie was fukking terrible. Corny ass dialogue, characters acting dumb as hell just to further the plot....telegraphing the fukk outta plot points, like the self-surgery machine "gee I wonder if that'll be important later" :wtb:....Guy Pierce's awful old man make-up....the lame ass plot twist with him being alive, and being Vicker's father, on some soap opera shyt....no explanation for anything really....and they was dumb enough to end a prequel with a cliff-hanger.

So what happens next? Who cares? It obviously ain't that important considering it never gets mentioned in any of the "Alien" movies.

Fred.
