Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in
Alien with
Alien: Covenant, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with
Prometheus – and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world –
whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. Fassbender is reprising his role as David but will also play another android with
a whole body of his own called
Walter.
"You've got to go back and find those Engineers and see what they are thinking," Scott told
Deadline.
"If Engineers are the forerunners of us, and therefore were creators of life forms in places that were possible for biology to function, who created that? Where's the big boy? You think this was all an accident? I don't know. Even Stephen Hawking now says he's not sure. He no longer believes in the big bang."

status. I'll give Ridley another shot tho cause I'm an optimist. 
Maybe dudes don't want to see Aliens, people die, and that is all. Other than nostalgia and mythos Alien has nothing going for it other than that so why even make another if you aren't going to continue what you started?
