What kobe did that year was extraordinary. Duncan had a typical Duncan year. Like it wasn't anything special about that season really. I mean he was still a top 5 player but nah

If we're talking 2005-06, then Kobe didn’t even finish top 3 in MVP voting though he was ahead of Duncan. Dirk, Bron, and Nash all got more votes.

The year he finished 4th in MVP voting and got eliminated in the first round? :comeon:

PPG-obsessed casuals literally look at one thing in the box score and ignore every other aspect of the game.
He finished 4th cause his team was trash with no operable role players. Atleast those bron cavs teams had some semblance of shooting and defenders. Lakers had kobe, lamar Odom, and bums. Lamar Odom was a bad fit at that time too cause he couldn't shoot and his playmaking was negated by the lack of role players.

This is such a weak argument man. I honestly expected better from you. Outside of Kobe and Lamar that 06 roster was straight garbage. Those players wouldn't have gotten rotation minutes on any other team. We all know how the media used to vote for the MVP. The media favored the best player on one of the best teams. Nash won the MVP. You're honestly going to say Nash was the best player that year? Billups finished 5th in MVP voting. Was he top 5 that year?

Such a garbage post from you man.
Nash and LeBron had similar carry jobs though :manny:. Nash got 54 wins out of a team that lost it’s leading perimeter scorer (Joe Johnson) to free agency and then lost their leading scorer overall (Stoudemire) to knee surgery maybe 2 weeks into the year with Boris Diaw & Leandro Barbosa suddenly taking on huge roles and Nash was great in the playoffs too while they went all the way to the western conference finals. LeBron got his team to 50 wins with nobody else on the team averaging 16 points on the year either and they’d end up going 7 games with the 64 win pistons in the semis. It’s just that Nash and LeBron traded points in favor of assists compared to Kobe.

Yet that Suns team was still more talented than that Lakers team. Brian Cook, Smush Parker and Chris Mihm/Kwame Brown were starters.

Cavs had horrific shooting in 2006. Not counting Bron, the ENTIRE STARTING LINEUP other than Bron averaged just 0.7 made threes a game. They started washed Eric Snow and Flip Murray who were the worst-shooting guard combo (and straight up worst guard combo overall) in the entire NBA. Larry Hughes was somewhat better but he got hurt after just 31 games, tried to come back for the playoffs but was worse than useless.

Lakers actually had more shooting than the Cavs did. Lamar Odom alone hit more 3s in 2006 than the entire Cavs starting lineup other than Bron. And Smush Parker hit even more.

Y'all will just say shyt without even knowing what actually happens on the court.

WE HAVE EYES AND WERE THERE
IN REAL TIME.

KOBE WAS AHEAD OF
ALL THOSE GUYS FROM 06-10.

NO ONE GIVES AF ABOUT MVP VOTING.

WHEN SHAQ WAS THE BEST PLAYER FROM
2000-02 HE ONLY WON MVP ONCE.
