I wish we could up SOHH threads from 2009, 2010 so we could see what people were saying in real time because yall nikkas lying :rudy:

You can read this forum post from 2010. 21 pages. Nothing was undisputed. Some Bron Stans thought he was better, most people thought he was playoff choker because guess what....nobody had a crystal ball in Spring 2010 and knew he'd make a superteam in Miami and win rings in 2012 :rudy:

Do you realize you just posted a thread disproving the claim that Kobe was "clearly the best" in 2010? Many fans at the time didn't think so. :skip:

Bron in 2010: 30-7-9 on 50/33 shooting, 66 wins with Mo Williams as his #2 and old Shaq/Varejao/Antawn "helping", won MVP in a runaway and 4th in DPOY ballot
Kobe in 2010: 27-5-5 on 46/33 shooting, 57 wins with Pau Gasol as his #2 and Bynum/Artest/Odom filling it out, 3rd in MVP ballot with zero 1st-place votes

Bron in 2010 playoffs: 29-9-8 on 50/40 shooting, 2 spg/2bpg and shut down PP completely, won classic duel with D-Rose but then lost to Celtics in 6 while shooting poorly
Kobe in 2010 playoffs: 29-6-6 on 46/37 shooting, lit up Suns and Jazz but struggled against Thunder and Celtics, went down 3-2 to Celtics but won after Ray Allen and Perkins injuries despite 6-24 performance in Game 7

It's crazy cause the same people who say Kobe was "clearly" the best in 2006 despite no team success are also saying he was "clearly" the best in 2010 with an inferior performance across the board in EVERYTHING other than team success. If Ray and Perkins don't get hurt in the 2010 Finals and the Celtics finish the Lakers in 5 or 6 like they clearly looked like they were capable of, then is Kobe still "clearly the best" that year? Why?

Dirk was as valuable as Kobe during the 2005-2006 season. The difference was negligible. Either one would have been a fine MVP had they won it.

The point is, it's silly to argue that either of them was head and shoulders above their peers.

If you want to talk about public perception, which introduces all sorts of biases...that's something else.
I love when these Bron nikkas pretend to be objective :mjlol: You nikkas are embarrassing
