just so everyone realizes you are an idiot, that video is from the 2008-2009 season. Dwight was about to win his first DPOY award, and the Magic were going to the Finals.

Also, Dwight was 24.

Dont come back into this thread.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Dwight's hurt, and while Kobe's been amazing hes past his prime(and its showing in the the last month and a half).Plus the Lakers just arent that good. Lol at using this season

He's pretty much done everything you can do as a number one option without winning the Title and this is with average, mediocre, and in some cases downright terrible teammates.

He's pretty much the only center in the league, injured or not there's no excuse for his play. David Robinson played with a cot damn hernia and put up better numbers in his 30s doing so.

There are far too many excuses for him, plain and simple he has never been as good as the dudes he's compared to is successful because of the lack of 5s in the league. There were always signs and hints of that, that series against the Bobcats he was pathetic cause they had defenders with size that he couldn't overpower.

So here is the thing about Dwight that I have been trying to get across young heads who watch the NBA today. Let's break down some centers in that era and how I think Dwight would fare against them.

vs Hakeem... this is going to be the funniest one because he has no answer for Dream's moves. Hakeem was even better on defense IMO because you do have to factor in the competition. Hakeem is the #1 blocked shots leader in NBA history and played in arguably the 2nd greatest era for big men. Hakeem shot 71% from the line in his career and with an automatic 5 fouls Dwight would have on him...thats 7.1ppg already in a career matchup. Tough to say how much Dream would average today, but he would be getting those props on defense like Dwight does on a nightly basis...he is also a better help defender than dwight. Dwight would have the edge in rebounds.

vs Shaq...Shaq is too big and too strong for Dwight. Dwight has the edge on defense here, but then again you have to consider how fukking strong Shaq was driving and throwing that big elbow hitting Dwight? Dude's soul might have been snatched by game 2. I would give Dwight the edge in rebounds as well becuase thats something Shaq never really focused on in his prime. Both suck at free throws so thats a wash. Shaq would probably average 34-35 ppg in this era if he really wanted to.

vs Ewing...jumpshot is too good and his defense was nothing to laugh at in his prime either. Post game is probably 3rd in this era behind dream and admiral. Ewing shot 74% from the foul line in his career and if you factor in the automatic 5 fouls by Dwight you are looking at a 7.4 ppg average from the jump. He won't get that rebounding advantage over Ewing like he does everyone else either because thats something Ewing took pride in. Like Shaq, tough to break his will also. He would shyt on Dwight and probably average close to 30ppg in his prime during this weak ass era.

vs DRob...too fast. Had a good mid range game, good post moves as well. Great on defense. Both are soft type of players. DRob shot almost 74% from the foul line as well so when you factor the automatic 5 thats a 7.4 ppg advantage for Robinson. I would give Dwight the edge on rebounds here. I consider Ewing and DRob a wash so he would probably get close to 30ppg as well today.

So here is my question for anyone even entertaining this idea. Why would Ewing, Shaq, DRob, or Dream foul Howard? Under what circumstance would you see any of those 4 getting :whoa: when Howard goes to his "Go-To" move? Howard is given this crazy prop on defense like he is the second coming of Bill Russell when he has no legit center to go against on a nightly basis. He faces Brook Lopez a couple of times a year...thats IT. Do you think Howard is up at night trying to figure out Chandler's crazy offensive game? In fact talking about Chandler...he leads the league in FG % again...showing just how weak that C position is. I'm at a point in where I am just going to start dropping neg bombs if dudes who want to give Dwight the edge over any of those centers without really breaking things down. shyt is getting old.

So ONE Season Of 22 PPG Makes Shaqs Point Null And Void?

The Man Is Supposed To Be A Beast And Averages 18 PPG For His Career

That's Nice If You're Roy Hibbert

When Ewing Had That Season He Averaged 17ppg People Said "He's Done"

If You Wanna Be Talked About Among The Elite Big Men Of The Game We're Gonna Need A Couple Seasons Of 24-28 PPG Under Ya Belt

the fukk? of course one season of 22+ ppg would make shaq's claim that "dwight never averaged 20 a game for a season" null and void you dumbass :laff:

dwight's done it 4 times.

honestly its deeper than that. With this competition and athletic advantage Dwight has over these other bums starting in the league he should be able to get 25ppg CONSISTENTLY and be someone teams gameplan around.

Ewing's 17ppg season would probably be equivalent to 24 today if I were to really start breaking things down.

Rik Smits would be giving Dwight that work.....so would Vlade.....so would Sabonis....even the old and busted versions of them would be the top center in the league today.

I Hated Rik Smits Guts Man, He Would Def Be Eating Real Good If He Played Today

Its Crazy How The Time Of When You Play Plays A Big Factor In Your Legacy

Smits Would Be The Best Center Right Now And Multiple All Star lol

I forgot that Robsinon, Ewing, and Shaq are 5-6-7 in NBA history in blocks as well. So those 3 averaged more bpg against much stronger competition...this is looking even worse for Howard than I originally thought.

Hakeem with a 4 year stretch of averaging more than 4BPG and 1 year at 4.6
DRob with a season at 4.5
Ewing topped a year with 4
Shaq with 3.5 in his rookie season

ALL against better comp. I know this is a matter of all these cats getting more opportunities because of the Centers, but its just to prove a point that none of them were slouches on defense either. This is looking terrible for Howard
