I dont evne like the Admrial i thought he was extremely soft and overrated but he was light years ahead of Dwight espeially offensively

Yeah, Robinson was soft and the first big man I remember that was out there taking jumpers as the main part of his offense, and even then I'd still pick him over Dwight 10 times out of 10.

Their last game was in 09, Dwight was 23 and averaged 21/14 that year, excuses.

He NEVER had an answer for Yao because of the size difference, his entire game is predicated on being bigger and stronger than his opponent, that shyt isn't even possible with Yao.

wait that wasnt from 07'

thats the rebuttal?

Patrick Ewing was a 23-24 ppg scorer and would grab over 10 boards. He was a legit 7 footer, and while not a great array of moves on offense he was good. He also had a good 15 foot jumper. He also averaged 28 ppg one season.

I dont even like Patrick Ewing's game, and think he gets overrated because he played for a good Knicks team, not great just good. But Patrick would give Dwight that work.

And Brad Daugherty was a legit 7 footer and a 20 and 10 scorer before his back gave out.

Dwight used to receive that work in regular doses against Yao :heh:

Dwight used to get played evenly by a :flabbynsick:/:old: Shaq O'Neal on a regular basis :heh:

You wouldn't be able to put Kendrick Perkins/Kwame Brown/Tyson Chandler on Ewing or D-Rob and say "aight we don't have to worry about that for tonight :ehh:"

Dude Blew My Mind Saying Dwight Is A Better Offensive Player Then Pat

Even At Dwights Healthiest He Was A Stiff Robot With 1 Post Move

The Guy Cleans Up Misses

Even Shaq Had The Black Tornado Move, Dwight Doesnt Do Anything

Barely Even Uses His Strength To His Advantage

Yao Ming dominates Dwight Howard in their 2nd meeting at Houston of the 2008-2009 season. Yao Ming shows that he's the real best center in the NBA. Dwight Howard has always come up short against Yao Ming in every single matchup

Yao owned that dude's soul.

Dwight isn't seeing Pat or The Admiral so let's make a less absurd comparison:

Dwight or Luc Longley?:shaq:

He's not though, realistically Zo would be the best center today, the defense is pretty much even and Zo's offense was much better. Dwight could rebound better, but Zo did nearly everything else better, plus he actually played against centers.

If you've gone against prime Shaq, what exactly can Dwight bring to the table?
How exactly is Zo better? He isn't a better passer, rebounder or scorer. Shot blocking is his only advantage, but I'll still pick Dwight over him as a defender. He covers more ground. At best it's a toss up. I'm talking about 2011 Dwight by the way, not the current version.

They are both on the same level in my book.

I see what you did there:obama:.

What I said and have always maintained that Dwight is one of the best defensive players of all time when healthy. He's not Dream,Duncan,KG, or Drob but he's amazing. He's a classic defensive anchor that covers up the mistakes of his teammates with how he protects the rim.

Offensively, of course he's not your ideal number one option(and theres tons of C's better)and hes flawed, but as a number one option he's done as much if not more then Pretty much all time center aside from Dream and Duncan without an elite Guard by his side.

Multiple 50 win seasons, ECF, Finals Appearance(losing to Bean is no shame) etc

Healthy Dwight is a 22/14/3 on 60% guy that can Lead you to 50 Wins with mediocre talent and almost guarantees you an elite defensive team. I'd just love to see him play with an elite Guard

I agree Ewing is better. I disagree about Daugherty. Dwight's defense gives him the clear edge in my book.
