The pacing of this movie was really great. From the surprisingly good cinematography and establishing shots, to the animal scenes, to the introduction of the trappers and the final battles. I think this is probably going to go down as the second best in the series.

Movie was solid. Good action flick. The native warriors were brave as fukk. No backing down. Not a single runner in the movie.
Only problem is they overdid the "men think women can't hunt thing" .. yeah we get it u don't need to keep reminding us every 2 minutes.

There are actually several predator planets and predator tribes. Some are even led by female predators.
The thing that's always bothered me about the predator movies is that outside of the second one they haven't used comic source material
I think requiem was kind of nod towards comic material right? He was an elite warrior part of that elite predator clan or something like that.
The movie they dropped after too when they were hunting the humans on a new planet. Royce and the girl are characters from the comics … I think.

Growing up I preferred 2 over 1 and still do but idk this movie has me questioning my rankings.

This CGI in Predator 1 and 2 compared to Prey tho....God we came a long way

This was a good one. Predator tanked a whole lot of damage through the entire movie before being taken down but went out swinging. Predator got a spear put through his foot, then a bear trap, blasted in the back of the head, got a spear put through him, numerous lacerations, lost an arm, jaw broken, quick sand and then had to fight someone he couldn't see (the plant she ate made her body cold).
What does it for me with this movie and what makes the first two so great though is the first half. The 2nd half of these movies are about the actual confrontation/battle, but it's all about the build-up that does it. This was the first movie since the first two to get that 100% right.
If anything they could have prolonged or drawn that first half out for a little longer: maybe make her and her tribe come across some of their hunters who've been killed. They got it right with some of the animals on some "What could have done this?" but seeing that happen to other humans brings that sense of danger to another level. I can't even complain about it though because that was the first time in decades somebody got that vibe right.
First two Predator movies > Prey >> the rest. Like another breh said, finally got the trilogy this series deserved. Top Gun: Maverick and Prey went 2/2 to me and were my biggest anticipations this year.
