The USA is the biggest spender in the UN and WHO, and have been long long beefing with the IMF and World Bank. These are organizations that essentially keep the peace between plenty of countries through aid (read: bribes) and the US military sending troops around the world.

When Trump got in, he was loud about how the US is paying into these organizations while other countries do not pay as much while receiving the benefits and the protection of the US military. Plenty of European leaders called him a fool - until he threatened to actually pull US funding.

If he did, plenty of those countries that haven't spent serious money on military in decades, because of the US presence, would be in a world of shyt. You'd have armed conflicts because the UN would be underfunded and the IMF would go broke.
