This is coming straight from the government. The companies front the money but they will get tax credits and grants.

Ellison believes that continuous surveillance, driven by AI, could greatly reduce crime. But the evidence doesn’t necessarily support his assertion.

These companies and Trump are full of it.

Why are the rate payers in SC and GA on the hook for Billions of dollars for two Nuclear plants. Only one of which is actually operational. I worked in the Energy Industry before and these Utilities don't pay for anything using their own money. So I doubt these AI companies will either.

There’s more than a few of them being built all over America. Bill Gates is helping fund one in Wyoming. Tax payer money will always fund these multi billion dollar corporations one way or another. The failures you speak of mean nothing to the future.

You hoard profits to redistribute them to shareholders and company leadership.

The profits are still being hoarded instead of being used to retain workers via across the board pay raises and investment in new projects. It's not being used to make products cheaper(think about the fact that despite the games industry smashing sales records, consoles and games are only going UP in price)

Because they can literally be sued for failing to deliver dividends and increased share value, they see workers as a cost that can be cut.

AI can replace an entire department, the money which would have paid that department will be used for stock buybacks to make the company look more profitable than it is.
