When was he not hitting holes on Sunday?

Him hitting holes has never been the issue. BJGE can hit a hole. It's finding creases/vision at the second level. There isnt a second gear. The Browns looked like shyt on Sunday, but we're going to act like we havent seen Trent enough to know he doesnt have those traits of an explosive player?

I've seen him be explosive when the line gets a semblance of push. I think you're trying too hard now.

We were talking about Spiller's second year. His rookie year he got 74 carries...that's not nearly a big enough sample.

We can go back to college as well- they werent even close.

74 carries isn't nearly enough but 100 is plenty? :dead:

Trent has only played 2 games in his 2nd year. Can you at least admit, as mediocre as Trent's rookie year was it shyts all over CJ's rookie year?

Keep in mind, if a RB isn't getting on the field, there's probably a reason for that. :comeon:

Point is, it's too early to tell.

We'll see. A change of scenery Im sure will do him well. Him having a 2010 BJGE type season is what he'll be imo.

Sure it was better. The Browns drafted Trent to be the offense. The Bills already had a good player in Freddie.

New regime steps in with the Browns, and we're basically saying "this was the 3rd pick in the draft last year?" They flipped him for a first. If Lombardi f's up the picks then we can kill the Browns. But losing Richardson isnt a jump off the cliff type of scenario like the media is making it out to be.

I woulda said the same thing if the Bills traded Spiller 2 games into his 2nd season. And I'd be feeling :sadcam: right now if they actually did that.

Yeah I don't see a downside for the Browns. They weren't going anywhere with TRich and to be honest, the NFL is going away from the three down back anyway(AP is an anomaly). They had the chance to recoup a 1st.... why not?

Speaking of the Browns, when was the last QB they had that wasn't :trash:? Bernie Kosar? :snoop: They gotta fix the QB position then everything else figures itself out.

The issue for Richardson, truthfully, has been breaking big plays. As I wroteover the summer, Richardson has been horrifically unable to generate big plays with his legs so far as a pro. Just 0.7 percent of his carries last year went for 20 yards or more, the fifth-lowest rate among running backs with 200 single-season carries or more over the past five years. That's likely to bounce back a bit in 2013, but it hasn't happened yet through two games; Richardson's longest carry of the year so far went for 10 yards.

What does Spiller, O Line, etc... have to do with Richardson's lack of burst and ability to turn the corner?

Do people think that aspect of Richardson's game is going go magically appear in Indy when he's never shown it in 300 carries as a Brown?

The blueprint is out on Trent and it's not about stacking the box. It's playing him to within the tackles with the belief he doednt have the speed or vision to cut to the outside to turn the corner.

That's why there is no "push" from the offensive line. Dude can't turn the corner in the league.

Since when is the Cleveland offensive line is suspect? They have a HOF LT and a Pro Bowl C.

Sounds like a convenient excuse to me.
Damn and here I was thinking you needed more than 2 guys to play on the offensive line

Why the fukk are we counting QB knockdowns and QB pressures to determine how good a teams O Line is at run blocking?

This^

Indy's o-line, while bad, is apparently better at run blocking than pass protecting based on what they've shown this season. They're not great at either though.
