Can we judge CJ Spiller with the same requirements?
Spiller didn't do shyt as a rookie.
He was straight his 2nd year but only had like 100 carries.
Can we judge CJ Spiller with the same requirements?
And some aren't because people think they know a persons window of greatness.
Seriously....I don't get the bringing up of AD in here as if he isn't an exception to the rule.

He's right to a certain extent though, can't only base how good an RB is only on tds. Turner had double digits last year but looked . Then you have teams that like to bring in the bigger backs inside the 5 ala TJ Duckett that rack up tds while the other back does all the work. (I think T-Rich is a good 1,000 yd back though)
Not being McCoy or Spiller isn't a crime either.I havent brought up Peterson. The "experts" compared him coming out of Bama. Essentially why I dont take those guys seriously anymore.
Taking Peterson out of the equation- Richardson isnt in the Mccoy, Spiller, Martin tier.

Dude is a good running back...and I'm waiting for you to tell me his failures from Sunday. I saw nothing moved upfront.
You get a sample of 100 carries and average over 5ypc, that's legit.
No it's not. If it was legit, he woulda been getting more carries. He couldn't pass protect but he was a good change of pace back who picked up a lot of yards on draw plays and such. I'm a Bills fan. Before last year, Spiller was a bust.
Jerius Norwood averaged over 6 ypg for his first 2 years in the league in ATL. Only 6 career starts in his 6 year career. Drafted in 06, he's out of the league now.
Norwood was a straight line burner.
If you thought Spiller was a bust during his second season than frankly we just saw different things.
I saw the #2 RB on the depth chart. What did you see?
He's good. I never said he wasnt. Being good at RB in 2013 is a dime a dozen. Jim Brown called that before he was drafted. The guy the Jets gave up a 4th round pick for has more moves at the second level and has made runs in the NFL Trent couldnt make in college, and will never be able to make.
What I saw Sunday is what I've seen over his career.
Again...what did YOU SEE on Sunday that was poor running IQ by Trent?
A guy making plays and making people miss when he had the football in his hands. Traits in a guy that was going to be really good.
CJ's rookie year: 74 carries, 283 yards, 3.8 ypc, 0 TDs
Trent's rookie year: 267 carries, 950 yards, 3.6 ypc, 11 TDs
Out of these two backs, Spiller showed you "traits of a guy that was going to be really good"?
Since really, all we have to go on is Trent's rookie year right now.
He's slow. This aint a science project.
