Dre slow as fukk. He got the kid back, he coulda told Tommy where Kanan at, begged for mercy saying he was playing Kanan the whole time , got Kanan and his girl killed and still skimmed that $50k off top and kept it all
Kanan threatened Dre's kid. Meanwhile Dre was working for Ghost and connected to Tommy who have money and power while Kanan had nothing. He could have set him up to get clipped and further earned Ghost's trust.
Them dropping the Tariq ransom angle was weak. They should have just had Kanan die in the fire because he's not adding anything to the story.

Like why not just have Ghost and Angela be together...
Why not just let Greg's murder be an unsolved mystery...
Why not let the corrupt prosecutor that kill Greg descend further into the underworld and have Ghost find out and use it as leverage...
Why not just let Tariq continue to be held hostage and beaten to death or some shyt...
Why not let Tommy eventually take the fall for Ghost...
There were so many ways it could've went but they probably were like...

The beginning was blah...when they had characters literally telling the audience...Ghost is gonna be tested in prison...
I was like..."They really spent the first 10 mins of the show...telling the audience prison is gonna be shytty for Ghost...like no shyt..."
