Yoooo.....fire.

Legit fire. Loved the backstory. My legit issues only fall around Rita having gold teeth and Goldar being a monster of the week and not talking. Everything else was great. As a true fan, that stayed through till the new Turbo Rangers took over, I was legit proud of what they did. Billy killed it, Zach killed it, Kimberly and Trini both sexy af but great characters and I never thought I'd be able to appreciate a different Jason but dude did his thing.

When that Go Go Power Rangers from the OG movie played when the zords came out :wow:

The audience clapping and people literally in tears when Billy was brought back :wow:

All 5 of them were great. Loved the Zordon/Jason dynamic. They did an incredible job building this all up. Props to everyone involved, they made a damn near 30 year old feel like a little kid again. Can't wait for the sequel.

The new jason was really good. I thought we would be the weakest part but there was no weak parts...He kept them together, he's a natural leader.

Can't wait for "Green with evil"

A few more thoughts -

Again, loved the build up. Before going to see it I actually watched the pilot episode on Netflix, just to see how the two might link up and the contrast is crazy. Obviously, one is a spliced up, 23 minute version and the other is a 2 hour stand alone, but I love how it all just makes sense. Zordon's struggle with relinquishing his old role versus being this sage, happy to be trapped in a time warp mentor. The training to get them ready, versus just bringing them in the command center, telling them they're Power Rangers now so go handle your business. Them NEEDING to be a team and that interconnectedness theme throughout. To the detail of them not knowing how to control the Megazord because the thing is made of different parts and they all controlled different areas which was a detail you can easily over look and they chose not to.

I was surprised at the amount of cursing (particularly because there was so many little kids seeing it) but happy with it. Helped give the movie even more of an edge. The talk of killing Rangers, Alpha literally saying "you know you could get murdered, right?" gave a sense of urgency to it that really speaks to the severity of what they're doing.

I legitimately enjoyed this as a movie and as a nostalgia trip. For all the reboots that have happened that just seemed unnecessary, this was great. Real teen themes, not squeaky clean, beloved karate masters and shyt. That worked in the beginning, having characters struggling with relateable issues and making it so people who never even watched the show could connect? Smart. The people behind this really seemed to give a fukk about what they were doing here. Respect. :obama:

Billy covered the original character and expanded it, hard to do and he pulled it off. Initially I was cold on the suits and the zord, but it's a new era. Things gotta change.

I wish they were all together in the eyes or something when the megazord came together. Otherwise it was great.
