He could’ve been age 11 to 17. Either way even if he was 18 in season 1 of OG Power there’s no way he is working for the DEA unless dude got an internship or was cleaning toilets for some Dominican contractor with the cleaning staff.

Out the gate you have to graduate college to be considered. Then pass the psychological exam and somehow pass the background check — which he definitely would not. And it takes at LEAST one year to get hired so the timeline ain’t lining up.
They would’ve been better off making him a crazy dude from Spanish Harlem who was estranged from Paz and had a little crew that were trying to kill Tariq.

I can see the Power writers do something corny like kill off Tariq's family, and try to retcon the Ghost death by saying Ghost put a bulletproof vest before he got shot and went into hiding for witness protection, or give Lobos a twin brother that Tariq is beholden to.

It makes you wonder who the better showrunner is, him or Courtney Kemp? They both love cartoonish fukkery, but at least Power didn't throw out nine million storylines per episode in favor of repetitive nonsense.
I feel like Empire would hold up better and get more respect if it ended earlier. It became a fairytale in season two and it should have ended after season three.
