Summary
This text is a forum thread from The Coli, an online forum, discussing the finale of the fourth season of the television series Power Book II: Ghost. The thread focuses on user reactions and criticisms of the finale, with participants debating the show’s plot points, character development, and overall quality. Many express their disappointment, arguing the finale lacked narrative coherence and fell short of the high standard set by its predecessor series, Power. The thread also features discussions of the spin-off series Raising Kanan, which some users consider superior to Power Book II: Ghost.

The finale was underwhelming and felt unearned. One user described it as "cheeks" and questioned the point of the entire season. Another said that it went out with a "whimper".

The writers failed to provide satisfying conclusions to the season's storylines. One user pointed out the absurdity of a character escaping by simply running around a truck and disappearing. Another user criticised the writers' decision to demote Brayden instead of cutting him off or killing him, arguing that this resolution ignored the character's potential for causing further chaos.

The finale suffered from the show's unplanned conclusion. One user suggested that the finale felt rushed because it needed to wrap up multiple storylines within five episodes.

The plot contained several inconsistencies and illogical elements. For instance, one user highlighted the improbability of the FBI allowing a suspect in a murder investigation to be present during an arrest.

Tariq's development into the "new Ghost" felt forced and unconvincing. Users criticised Tariq's acting, arguing that he lacked the charisma and presence of his father.

The spinoff series, Raising Kanan, is viewed more favourably than Power Book II: Ghost. Several users expressed a preference for Raising Kanan, citing its superior writing, realism, and humour.
It is important to note that these are just a few criticisms voiced by a small number of fans on a specific online forum, and may not represent the views of all viewers.

These were my thoughts before the finale and surprise surprise nothing has changed. Again, what was the fukking point?

They rushed some half ass shyt at the end with Tariq working with Noma's brother and the dirty cops from Carter's team all so he can say some corny ass shyt about being a "ghost" :mjlol:

He hasn't earned a damn thing, nor has he learned a damn thing. Why does he even still want to be in the game at this point?:wtf:

They put this shyt back to status quo. The only character who was somewhat developed was Cane, they barely use Effie all season as she wants out of the game but all of a sudden wants to go back to work for Tariq?

Someone said in here earlier but it does feel like they got a group of writers who know nothing about Power to write this season, shyt was obvious. But they know most Power fans won't question garbage writing. They couldn't even make Tariq a good protagonist, had that man calling himself the "apex predator":mjlol:

Riq still a dumbass kid who hasn't truly gotten what he deserves nor has he been truly tested.
This lil nikka was a rich kid who could have been anything he wanted. With his dad into politics, he could have been anything. but he chose to be a two bit hustler who always end up without a plug at the wnd of the season and no money....lowkey he killed his pops for no reason. He was literally hating on his own dad :dead:

again his mom wanted dude to keep selling drugs instead of going clean....so i aint surprised.

Prince Nana is Noma's brother :ohhh:

Ain't she from london? Why is her brother African? :bryan:
That's the only realistic thing about the show. Black British people are closely rooted to their countries weather African or Caribbean

Woody (Caine) was killing that shyt. Hope he gets some looks because he's been a highlight of the whole series. He could have a great career after this is over.
He's a very good actor. They really wasted his character with this wack ass script
