:yeshrug: SHE WAS THE ONLY PERSON
ACTUALLY WORKING THIS SEASON
BETWEEN NOMA AND THE RUSSIANS

Enough to essentially pay for two college tuitions :comeon:

I get the angle they were going for with the full circle moment, but it was sloppy execution used to give only Tariq a happy ending at the expense of everyone else around him.

Summary
This text is a forum thread from The Coli, an online forum, discussing the finale of the fourth season of the television series Power Book II: Ghost. The thread focuses on user reactions and criticisms of the finale, with participants debating the show’s plot points, character development, and overall quality. Many express their disappointment, arguing the finale lacked narrative coherence and fell short of the high standard set by its predecessor series, Power. The thread also features discussions of the spin-off series Raising Kanan, which some users consider superior to Power Book II: Ghost.

The finale was underwhelming and felt unearned. One user described it as "cheeks" and questioned the point of the entire season. Another said that it went out with a "whimper".

The writers failed to provide satisfying conclusions to the season's storylines. One user pointed out the absurdity of a character escaping by simply running around a truck and disappearing. Another user criticised the writers' decision to demote Brayden instead of cutting him off or killing him, arguing that this resolution ignored the character's potential for causing further chaos.

The finale suffered from the show's unplanned conclusion. One user suggested that the finale felt rushed because it needed to wrap up multiple storylines within five episodes.

The plot contained several inconsistencies and illogical elements. For instance, one user highlighted the improbability of the FBI allowing a suspect in a murder investigation to be present during an arrest.

Tariq's development into the "new Ghost" felt forced and unconvincing. Users criticised Tariq's acting, arguing that he lacked the charisma and presence of his father.

The spinoff series, Raising Kanan, is viewed more favourably than Power Book II: Ghost. Several users expressed a preference for Raising Kanan, citing its superior writing, realism, and humour.
It is important to note that these are just a few criticisms voiced by a small number of fans on a specific online forum, and may not represent the views of all viewers.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but whatever happened to Tamika? Isn't someone supposed to be watching Tasha since she's still in WITSEC? I guess since Tariq can just visit her whenever he wants to, he can just take her out of WITSEC if he wants to?

I will say this
Tariq may have came out on top but he has a lot of resentment building up around him.

Effie didn’t get what she wanted and Brayden kinda got demoted. They both seemed visibly upset in their final scenes.

Not to mention the many others who hate him and want to see his demise. (Cane, the Feds etc.)

That's exactly what happened. Tariq doesn't trust either of them anymore and he didn't speak to them like they were his friends, but his employees. On one hand, I don't blame him because Brayden is a functioning drug addict and Effie is mostly loyal to her own cause, but their relationships will never be the same. They're going to feel like they're doing Tariq's bidding and turn against him at some point.

I guess season five would have been about Tariq finally achieving actual power in the drug game and taking over New York, but it would also lead to his death because he no longer has allies or friends. With the path he's on, he'll end up dying prematurely just like Ghost did.

These were my thoughts before the finale and surprise surprise nothing has changed. Again, what was the fukking point?

They rushed some half ass shyt at the end with Tariq working with Noma's brother and the dirty cops from Carter's team all so he can say some corny ass shyt about being a "ghost" :mjlol:

He hasn't earned a damn thing, nor has he learned a damn thing. Why does he even still want to be in the game at this point?:wtf:

They put this shyt back to status quo. The only character who was somewhat developed was Cane, they barely use Effie all season as she wants out of the game but all of a sudden wants to go back to work for Tariq?

Someone said in here earlier but it does feel like they got a group of writers who know nothing about Power to write this season, shyt was obvious. But they know most Power fans won't question garbage writing. They couldn't even make Tariq a good protagonist, had that man calling himself the "apex predator":mjlol:

Riq still a dumbass kid who hasn't truly gotten what he deserves nor has he been truly tested.

I had to quote you again because I realized something else. Tariq is on top now not because of what he did, but because of what happened around him. Noma and Monet are dead, but Tariq had nothing to do with that. Cane's on the run, Dru's going to Paris, and he had nothing to do with those things. He literally got everything he wanted through dumb luck. Things just happened to him and he went with it. Why should I believe he's capable of running the whole city?

That rushed ass ending was just to prop up Tariq tbh. There’s still a few loose ends that haven’t been tied up, which I predicted would happen as well.

Tariq ruined multiple lives including his own family.Raina& ghost dead cuz of him ,tasha was locked up and in witness protection cuz of him,Lauren etc.killed multiple people

Faced no consequences for any of his actions and gets a happy ending. But ghost had to pay for his actions :stopitslime:Makes zero sense
