We were slated to lose 20-30 seats in the midterms. We lost by like 4-5 votes. Thats why McCarthy had to have like 30 Speaker vote rounds. Did you forget?
People saw where this was going and had to diverse course (hint: by reading trends AHEAD OF TIME e.g. trans issues) to avoid political disaster!
