I've been on Starting strength for about 7 months now. Seriously thinking about changing programs (probably reverse pyramid training) soon, but I don't know if I should until I hit like 3x5 315 in squats (at about 285 currently, had nagging injuries slowing me down). I'm 6'0 about ~190, focusing on strength and muscle.
10x10 60% of my max (decline barbell press & back rows)
3x12 60% of my max (incline and wide grip pullups)
variation of german volume training
the general gist of strength routines is to hit these numbers specifically:
Squat 1.5x BW(bodyweight)
Deadlift 2x BW
Bench 1x BW
Row 1x BW
OH Press 0.5x BW
Chinups atleast 5x5 or 3x10 etc
if you already hitting those, I would hit up somethin like PHAT and start getting pumped up cause now when you hit it with volume all that new muscle is gonna expand with water/nutrients etc and give the big appearance
how long you been on GVT? you impressed with the results?
Theres hella folks on bb.com that be on that but 10x10 seems crazy
is push ups, pull ups and medicine ball work outs enough to get some definition?
had to cancel my membership and dont wanna lose any gains ive made brehs
define "some"
i was bulking up and got a little 4 pack going on. can i still get the patrick willis physique with that routine? or is something similar to jon jones more realistic?
