Barry
Jim Brown
AP
Emmitt Smith
LT
Walter Payton
Orenthal James
Faulk
dikkerson
Earl Campbell

My bias pick would be Corey Dillon but I can’t even try to justify it over one of these :pachaha:
my bias pic is stephen davis... but neal anderson was my grandpa favorite back for some odd reason ..said he had hands like a cris carter

1. Barry/Adrian Peterson.

Do what you want to with the rest. But Emmitt and LT are locks.

Honorable Mention: Roger Craig. He may have written the book on how to be a RB in today's day and age.

Sweetness
Barry
Jim Brown
Faulk
dikkerson
Emmit
OJ
LT

Thurman Thomas

Sweetness basically had to deal with very similarly terrible QB play as Barry but he wasn't completely shut down in the playoffs as often as Barry.
LT would probably be higher but he was a huge part of all those Chargers playoff disappointments. He was made to be a non factor more often than not

McCoy was really, really good. He was better than Gore...

Marshawn may be my favorite back ever after Faulk. He's another guy who was better than Gore but he needed about one more All-Pro esque season to warrant Hall consideration...
Lol why are you emphasizing them being better than Gore when no one has yet to even list Gore.

It’s no order

Walter Peyton
OJ
Barry
LT
Adrian Peterson
Ricky Williams
Earl Campbell
Cory Dillion
Lynch
Alstott (might have misspelled)

Damn I forgot Ricky, he's my favorite back after Faulk. He needed to do what he did in '02 longer for the gold jacket, but football was never the biggest commitment in his life and I respect that, it ain't like he didn't try at all. He just didn't live and die football like a Brady...

Alstott was damn near the last truly great fullback...

I still remember Dillon breaking the single-game rushing record. He and Fred Taylor played for some sorry ass teams, they'd be in Canton if they played for better teams...

Neither of these three guys are Top 10 for me, though. Ricky didn't sustain elite play long enough. Dillon is a close call and was underappreciated because he played on bad teams but he didn't have a tremendous impact as one of the GOATs of his era. At his best Faulk, Edge, George, LT were all better and more important to the sport...

Alstott was a fullback and I probably should've clarified I meant halfbacks rather than fullbacks...

barry
emmitt
eric dikkerson
edge
ap
lt
thurman
neal
beastmode
clinton

🤣 Portis was one of my favorite players. He here in Raleigh, he gets outta the pen tomorrow...

Jim Brown
Oj Simpson
Barry Sanders
Curtis Martin
Marshall Faulk
Ladanian Tomlinson
Adrian Peterson
Walter Payton
Terrell Davis
Earl Campbell

Absolute no to Davis, this is a great list otherwise though ...

my bias pic is stephen davis... but neal anderson was my grandpa favorite back for some odd reason ..said he had hands like a cris carter

Davis had four 1300+ yard seasons in 5 years. He didn't have the cultural impact alota guys had but he was a really, really good player...

Barry
Emmit
AD
Faulk
LT
Thurman
Eddie George
Martin
Edge
Taylor

My top 10 is based off who I watch live. Not before I was born

Not mad at this list!

Jim Brown

I always thought Bettis was overrated, he's nowhere near Top 20 for me. He was slow and had no moves other than duck his head and truck people. He got in Canton off the strength of being a great Steeler, but isn't an All-Time back...

LT would probably be higher but he was a huge part of all those Chargers playoff disappointments. He was made to be a non factor more often than not

Cats get mad when I call LT "Diet Faulk" but his playoff no-shows are a big reason why. I do give him the respect as a Top 10 guy but his regular season play did not translate to the playoffs...

Barry Sanders
Walter Payton
Emmitt Smith
LaDainian Tomlinson
The Marshall Plan
Corey Dillon
Adrian Peterson
Napolean Kaufman
Charlie Garner
Barry Foster

😆 at last four names...

Lol why are you emphasizing them being better than Gore when no one has yet to even list Gore.

This thread was inspired by that HOF thread where dudes kept bringing up Gore when no one suggested he was a Famer. It pissed me off, I'm just mentioning Gore for anyone who thinks he deserves Canton...

I recognize Ricky left some meat on the bone, but i will say it was a point he was one of the best, but like you said football was never a priority for him, and some injuries but when healthy he was putting in work

I think LT gets a knock due to being hurt or lack luster playoffs but I’d say that’s more on play calling it still never negates his being above his peers

Dillon have a lot of good years to Cincinnati and had nothing to show for it, but goon’n yards on 7-8 man boxes
