I'm finally getting all of my stuff back together. In the process of building a new workstation using AMD Ryzen 1700X (AMD back :ohlawd:)

DAW - Ensoniq Paris/Reaper
Audio Interface - Ensoniq Paris (2 EDS1000, MEC with input card, 2 C-16s, and Interface 2)/
Sequencer - MPC Studio Black (truth is, this was an impulse buy last week. Guitar Center had a brand new Studio listed as used for $199 and I copped that joint with the quickness)
Sampler - Akai S3200XL
Sound Module - Roland XV5080/Emulator X3

Honestly, I'm waiting on registering the Studio until I know what the are going to do with 2.0. Read the X and Live are getting pushed back again. :snoop:

What's the holdup on registering it? 2.0 is fire as it is.

I was actually wanting to get one of those because I was thinking about transitioning from all software to hardware and it had a really decent price but looking at the reviews, it seems to be literally just an MPD or Midi controller glossed up with some extra features

It gets the job done, but honestly I kinda wish we had an SSL console.

These things are dope but too expensive:

Solid State Logic SSL 4056 E/G Mixing Console

SSL Matrix 2 - Vintage King Audio

I'm a pro audio gearhead
C24 is just a big daw controller. More for look appeal to impress dummies in the studio than anything else. (And I don't say that really knocking anyone. Sometimes, to get customers into a studio you have to buy stuff like that unfortunately because a lot of artists tend to listen with their eyes instead of their ears.)
Avid is famous for dropping support of their products too and leaving customers with no other option than to buy entirely new hardware.
The SSL consoles are dope but it all really boils down to the real use the engineer is going to get out of the equipment. So much is being done "in the box" these days and cats are taking analogue gear and using them as controllers only and doing everything with plug ins making the purchase of analogue gear pointless in their particular situation to begin with.
A good combination of digital and analogue gear is the way to go, as long as the engineer is taking the time to learn how to properly implement both to the fullest.

Basically. The Ren/Studio/Touch are nothing but midi controllers that control the MPC Software. I've been thinking about consolidating and going ITB to save space. I will see how this Paris/MPC/Emulator X3 works for me and go from there.
