He's definitely not in the Steph, CP3 and Russ tier.. not even close. Over the regular season, Cavs were -0.4 points per 100 possessions with him on the floor compared to off the floor. That's correct, they were better with him off the floor. He doesn't have their kind of impact. Could he in the future? It's possible, he's still very young. But he's not in that tier at the moment.

In was an offense that's not suited to his strengths. They spent all last season trying to figure out how to get all 3 stars involved. Not to mention a coaching change.

The ONLY reason? :what:

Yes.

He had a killer instinct this series. Kept quiet and was a silent killer. He saved/pushed the momentum into the Cavs favor multiple times over games 5-7. He changed the flow up when they were down. Normally, thats the time that LeBron gets 'injured' or checks out of the game. This year, he had Kyrie to save his bytch ass. No Kyrie = no title.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Only that Lebron is the true PG on that squad. Kyrie's cut more from the Iverson cloth :yeshrug:
Nah breh, if you're going to include some of these combo/shooting PGs like Sabo, Curry, and Lowry, you have to include Kyrie muthafukking Irving. He actually showed me he can create opportunities for his teammates. It's just Bron's so ball-dominant Kyrie's dominant role is not as a distributor on this team.

Maybe it's just the James hater in me but he was better in G7. Took the clutch shots and rallied them in the 3rd. No doubt Bron is better and was better the rest of the finals but G7 was Uncle Drew.

Kyrie for all his talent never really made an impact on his team's success. Playing with Bron helps obviously but I think now he's starting to get it and realizes it takes more then nice handles and 3's to be a great player in the league. You have to be in the moment and realize when your team needs you to step up and you have to be committed on the defensive end. If he does that all next season watch the praise come and they try to give him the best pg in the game title. Even if he isn't that though he may be the guy you remember 20 years from now with ice water in his veins and that clutch gene that everyone isn't born with.

Other than Curry who is pretty much the same as Kyrie I don't think that Sabo or Lowry are combo guards. Especially Lowry...who is going to set him up...Derozan :martin: Both of them are dribble penetrators on the level of CP3.

impressed like shyt with dude..Lebron gotta let him cook tho.. He's not a "pure", 8-10 assist pg.....let him iso and cook nikkas off the dribble to close the games. He's built for that. They gotta let him be that. Far better option than Lebron dribbling the clock down to 8 secs than barreling to the lane to miss a chippy or pass to the corner with the game on the line

Them dudes are shoot-first kind of PGs. Dame Lillard too. It ain't about what someone else is doing for them. It's about what they do while on the floor. Gone are the days of only looking at the PG in the traditional mold of being a passer, doing the penetrating, and creating scoring opportunities for teammates. You still have those types (CP3s, Rondos, Conleys) but you got a lot more PGs who blend the scoring and shooting that you would normally see from a SG with those typical PG duties (Currys, Kyries, Dames). PG position has evolved.
