He's the real reason why the Cavs won. You kind of account for Lebron getting his numbers but you don't expect Kyrie to seemingly make everything. The Warriors never really adjusted either. They just basically thought he would stop making shots.

Dude showed a lot of heart though and with this championship run confidence combined with good health, dude might go on a TEAR next season.

People keep talking about his offensive skill but that's always been there. The clear difference was his decision making and defense. He stepped it up on both side of the court, and now he has to continue to do that. Also he didn't cancel out Curry he flat out played him down the stretch. Curry looked like Bron against the Mavs back in 2011. Straight up choke job, and Curry's team was buried by a once in lifetime playoff performance by Bron.
See a lot of people are wondering why curry was not himself...but I think Curry knew what was coming at him...they all know who Kyrie is. Even though everyone is great, everyone knows each other's abilities and the challenges of containing the comp, they all know kyrie a problem:francis:...cuz him and klay seemed like they'd seen a ghost. Irving cooked them cats:mjlol:

I always thought Kyrie was very overrated because he's good at that and1 style that generates all the oohs and ahhs. He played very well this postseason and earned some of the praise he's been getting his whole career and now he's getting overrated even more.

People saying he deserved MVP, that's he's an elite player, etc :whoa: LeBron could go to just about any team in the league and be one of the favorites to win it all.
Not against competition like GS...bron couldn't just go to any team and do this. Kyrie is elite...did u not see what happened in that game 7 my guy? I get hesitation to ban wagon a cat, but this dude has been doing this consistently in the league for a while now ....I think the ELITE title is certainly due. If Bron doesn't make that block kyrie's MVP talk gets louder....but that's why Bron is as ill as he is:yeshrug:. But when MJ hit 63 against the celtics that's was brand new, but the eye didn't lie...a star was born. I'm not gonna deny what my eyes are seeing now either ...KI is special :ehh:

I was impressed by Kyrie's effort on defense and his willingness to play at that end of the floor. I love his herky jerky iso game as well and he showed that if he gets doubled or sees an open teammate he will move the ball to them. I knew he had the clutch gene and I knew his handles kept defender's on skates.

I believe LeBron would be best suited to stay paired with Kyrie as I think they are the best duo in the NBA now it's been proven. LeBron will do whatever it takes to win and Kyrie will close the deal in the 4th quarter. I hope to see them grow as a pair.

Ah so you don't think Kyrie outperformed Steph and his empty stat, disappearing in the 4th quarter ass? Welp. Whatever
I already said Kyrie had a great postseason but I get it, this is your moment so go ahead and shine breh

Uhhh if one of them outperforms the other throughout a 7 game series, then should it not matter?

It matters, but not enough for him to be better than a guy who had a far superior season. To rank Irving ahead based on a series is pure recency bias

You have to realize that by saying he's better than Curry is the same as saying he's on par with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. A week ago people weren't even sure if he was better than John Wall (and many still are probably divided) but now he's a top 5 player and arguably the best at the position

I don't think I said he was better at any point in this thread. I think he's on the same level though. He grew up this series. I was never a huge Kyrie fan and still really am not. He has that clutch gene though. That ability to enforce his will when it truly matters that Steph hasn't been able to show in the past 2 finals. If that's not apparent, I don't know what is.

Don't include all the blockheads of the Coli together. I never said any of that shyt. I just think the guy who outplayed the other guy at his position deserves more shine. Is that so crazy?
