Biden will definitely have to flesh out his platform if he runs, but he's not merely some anti-Trumper. Dude has established himself as a Rust Belt/working class hero. That is vital if we want to win back Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Do y'all think Biden would run as a VP again? There is not limit to how many times you can be a VP.

If Gillum wins this election, and Trump wins in 2020, Gillum would be probably the front runner in 2024 barring any scandal/major fukkups. He still needs a little polish, but 5-6 years as Governor of the 4th largest state, and the largest swing state, would put him in the driver's seat.
Florida is actually the 3rd largest state.

if the alternative is trump? :childplease: no the fukk he wouldnt. he was obama's VP, obama would be all over the campaign trail

2020 isnt about converting dems. it's about converting republicans :dead:

Trying to convert Republicans is a waste of time, they aren't convertible. Anybody that still supports Trump now is always going to support Trump.

2020 is about turning out everybody that's not a Republican.

What about someone moderate, boring and uncontroversial?

Like, say, Mark Warner

Warner scares away nobody. Not the white guys, not the wealthy, not the women. He's not polarizing. He doesn't threaten anyone. It's hard to hate someone as bland and white as him, or spread crazy conspiracy theories about him.

Maybe if they were inacted but while running he needs to say it wouldn't or only would raise taxes on the top 1 - 10% or something. The actual facts of the policies cannot be means tested during the election.
This country worships the 1% though that's the problem

It's why that Tax Cut went through. The people on the bottom are convinced that they are either temporarily embarrassed millionaires, OR that the 1% and Mega Corporations actually give a fukk about the consumer beyond what effects their profits, and even then it's like "Is the outrage THAT much or can we kind of just sweep it under the rug for a minute".

They legit believe that those tax cuts created jobs. I keep hoping that every time this happens people will look at the markets and realize that that's bullshyt. But here we are and it's happening AGAIN, and these idiots are still walking around talking about "promises made, promises kept".

I don't think regular people believe this. Congress might but no, they are not considering the will of the people.

Most of the people posted in this thread are people that they're fans of instead of people who have a chance.

2020 is too early for Gillum, Newsom or Beto unless they're in the VP slot.

After 2016, I have a hard time thinking an AA or woman headlining ticket would win tbh. I bet you the first woman president will be a Republican.

Biden/Beto is a decent ticket, if I was a younger candidate I would wait for 2024 so as not to go up against an incumbent.
This is the shyt I been telling them

"fukk the winter...I'm doing it MY WAY and we gonna win" - Napoleon when his generals said that trying to go for Russia in the winter would not be a wise move

Ya'll can say that progressives are the move to make but any progressive that won't acknowledge the racism, sexism and vitriol on the right in this country is no better than those Dems you nitpick on. And say his fukking name: TRUMP.

But deep down in a place you don't want to admit, you know damn well if that candidate did that:

Bye bye Florida
Bye bye Michigan
Bye bye Pennsylvania
Bye bye Iowa
Bye bye Ohio
Bye bye Wisconsin

BYE BYE ELECTION

Unfortunately, unless we're all ready to admit that Russia helped Trump win (which some in HL still won't admit to) then we have to admit that there are far more stupid people than "regular" people in this country :manny:
